First ultrasound over here the other day too! I guess this is actually happening!! Ahh!! Little bean was so cute! I can't believe this is happening! Been feeling kinda sick though, super tired. Really looking forward to second trimester. Everything with the appointment went well, no surprises, well except for that internal sonogram, yikes! I never had one with DD and was like, woah what's that for? Haha. EDD changed to 1/20 with the option of a scheduled csection one week before, but I may try for a VBAC depending on how LO is measuring. Also we are 100% team green, so guess away until the bitter end! Secretly hoping for another girl (sisters!) but always wanted boys so we will see. If I had to guess now I'd say boy since I feel so much worse then the first time around, only time will tell!

We will be finding out next week with the genetic testing we aww doing Monday.
All the good things today! When will you get results? I don't know if you've been following it as closely as I, but they have been doing a lot of reporting about genetic testing results and the amount of stress it puts on women when the chances are still so slim...for what it's worth.

creepy internet hugs!
Thanks! Im waiting to talk to my midwife before having the testing done. Im not concerned as much of the risk of the genetic stuff because i know it's such a slim chance. My concern is more of why am I not making this protein that is needed, and what effects can that have, other than down syndrome.
GUISE. I'm 31 weeks today-- single digits for the weeks countdown!
Yay!!! How exciting! How are you feeling??
Pretty good, thanks for asking! We're about to leave for a 26 hr roadtrip to MN this week-- I'm not looking forward to sitting that long. I've been having some rough Braxton Hicks and tailbone pain. But otherwise I'm feeling ok!

Been thinking of you all weekend! I hope things level out for you soon and that there's absolutely nothing to worry about!

Liv, that is one hell of a trip! We'll be driving to RI in November right when I hit 27 weeks for BIL's wedding. And like you, I am not looking forward to that drive. And yay for single digits!!!
As far as finding out the sex, I think it would be fun to wait but G absolutely cannot stand not knowing. He is dying already to find out. Y'all, I am only 6 weeks. He has got to relax.
Liv I'm 9 weeks so getting towards the end of first tri in a few weeks. I'm mostly just feeling exhausted. Nausea comes and goes but it's not terrible. Scheduled my NT for July 6. Liv how are you holding up?

Yeehaw! Glad to hear you're starting to feel better!!! that first tri fatigue is no joke!!
I'm feeling much better than last week-- Oiy. I'm not wishing premature birth on my child, but man, it'll be great to not be pregnant anymore!

9 weeks over here, I swear first trimester is never ending. I'm queezy in the morning and exhausted. When I get home from work I'm literally a zombie. Thankfully Lainey has been napping from the minute I walk in the door for about 1.5 so I've been able to nap. But why she wakes up it takes me forever to feel normal. It was soooo much easier when I could nap for two hours everyday when I got home from work.
NT July 8th (Lainey's BDay!) I remember that being my favorite of all the ultrasounds last time, can't wait!
surfmama106 we have our NT scan on July 8 too! (I realized I thought it was a diff day) So fun! And +1 for exhaustion but I haven't been able to sleep, I feel like an insomniac at night.

One more week! School is officially over next Thursday and yes I will be home all summer! I already have beach plans for this Saturday and I seriously can't wait!
Had the perinatology appt today. It went SO well! Had another ultrasound, met with the doc and a genetic counselor. She said the risk factors are pretty low for Down Syndrome and that its possible that the results were a false positive. Still did the MaterniT21 test and should have those results next week.
Also, we found out we are team PINK! We are going to suprise the fam/kids tonight and tell them. Cant wait!
