Busy board this morning! I don't have time to tag but hugs to those who need them. Any excuse for cake...we are 6 months tomorrow and I may need to get cake :-) lo seems to be doing better the pooping has slowed thankfully, we are waiting on the results of the cultures that the doctor took but those can take up to 5-7 days so more waiting. I'm just hoping we are on the mend, we have 6month/family photos on Friday and extra pooping is a recipe for disaster! I'm sitting in Starbucks waiting for my co-worker to show up for our weekly touch base, they are late so I'm having coffee and a cookie :-)

Drive by...busy day at work. MOSQUITO BITES!!! It's about all I can think about today. They're EVERYWHERE!! Benadryl is helping a little, cortisone not so much but I'm a giant itch ball! I'm just glad LO didn't get any!
kfaye I hope you roared when you killed the wasp lol.
spikesmom glad things are starting to get better, I hope the poops get back to normal today! Enjoy that coffee and cookie. 6 month birthday cake should be a thing ;-)
@soikesmom we are six months tomorrow too! Ali can think about is cake now. I'm so happy to hear that the LO's poo is slowing down. I hope they get the results back sooner rather than later.
littleapplemom mosquito bites are the worse! I'm sorry. A little trick that helps me sometimes is taking my nail and pushing on the bites to make an x. If that makes sense?
When we moved into our new house last year, there were spiders everywhere. I am not a fan of spiders, but I am not afraid to kill them. Except when you are in the shower you can't step on them, and if they're on the ceiling just hovering there above you...the second shower spider sent me over the edge, and now we have the bug man out every other month. Thank goodness it has been effective. Or else we'd have to move again!
zengal we are surrounded by trees. Fucking spiders are e'rrrrrrywhere. Shower spiders are definitely the worst. I stare at that mofo while I shower and make for damn sure I don't lose sight of him. I really want to spray but I can't bring myself to. I just stomp on the dudes I find.

Oh wow super busy board today! wildflower810, I hope the knees in your family mend quickly
jjh1119, He is SO adorable! Post all the pictures you want
kfaye, I've had a screamer as of late also. It just breaks my heart. He fights sleep like crazy. I have tried putting him down earlier... later... somewhere in between. It makes no difference. He will keep himself up till he is so OT that there is no consoling him. 6m appointment is on Friday this is my main thing I want to address. My thoughts are with you... I know it's not easy.
wildflower810, I would say if he refuses to go to PT, but also is having trouble walking and getting around... well tough luck on his part. Give him chores to do and say well I know it hurts but you're refusing to do anything about it. If he was at least trying to resolve the issue then obviously you wouldn't expect him to do much that might hurt... but if not than how is that fair to you to have to carry all of the burden. Just my $.02. BTW if I were in the same situation I can't guarantee I would take my own advice. Even though that is what I would want to do
nerdalert, UGH! stupid people... just fyi babies cry
songbirdsinging55, Happy Anniversary!!! I hope you enjoy it... And hopefully you and your H still get plenty of time today together.
So today I am getting out with some of my girlfriends and doing a wine and canvas party. So happy get out with them tonight! P.S. MMMMMMM CAKE!!!!
littleapplemom I actually put ice on mosquito bites. It's a trick I learned when a mosquito bite landed me in the hospital when I was 15. I always got huge welts whenever I had a bite, but that time, the bite was on my ankle and my leg was swollen from my knee to my toes. I couldn't wear shoes or even walk. I was in the hospital for 3 days. Ever since then, I try to get ice on a bite immediately after it happens. It makes the bite less severe for me and it helps with itching later on as well.
I hate shower spiders! One time I was at a cabin taking shower in one of those tiny box shower things and was facing the shower head, no spider. I turned to rinse my hair, turn back around and huge spider I think I screamed. It just appeared out of no where!
Tonight I have a company dinner where we get wined and dined I'm pretty excited to go. It starts at 5:30 so should be done fairly early. It's the first time husband will be watching LO in the evening by himself, I'm nervous but I know he'll do great! (Fx) originally he had the day off but on Sunday his schedule was switched and now he is working today. His regular schedule is 7am-7pm, so I asked if there is any way he could get done at three in the afternoon. Well his boss let him change it but DH still wanted twelve hours so he went in at three am this morning. I feel guilty but major brownie points for him. I was thinking he could just work 7-3.
nerdalert that sounds scary! I know wen my sister was little her bites would get the size of golfballs but never a whole leg. Did they say why that happened?
Way to go mr. sadie74! I'm sure he'll do just fine tonight too. Have fun being wined and dined! singingmama10 that is great advice for wildflower810! And have fun with your wine tonight too! How's your back? nerdalert I would wear a mosquito net if I had those types of reactions to bites! You poor thing!

H has a chiro appointment tomorrow, a second opinion with an ortho Thursday morning, and then a PT appointment later on Thursday. You're welcome, H. Him working weekends and having two week days off is actually proving useful with this situation!
I should AW my H since he did good last night: I got home from work, he had dinner just hot off the grill, fixed me a plate, cleaned the kitchen (well, too) afterward, and then asked if he could get me a beer!! He's alright sometimes.

wildflower810 - Good luck getting your DH to go to physical therapy. I have zero advice on that one. It sounds like its too practical to even begin to explain to him. kfaye - I would have gone crazy trying to kill a wasp jjh1119 - SERIOUSLY Liam is sooo stinkin' cute!!! His hair, his cheeks ... I just can't get enough. He's adorable. Please don't stop posting pics. Ha ha ... sooo soo cute! p.s. thanks for being our resident hair care consultant songbirdsinging55 - Happy Anniversary!! Hopefully you and your DH get to enjoy the evening together. nerdalert - What the?? On the neighbors!! So irritating. zengal - Does one really need an excuse to eat cake? Also yes you should tell the person you have something hanging from your boobs and can't come to the door right now. pixie523 - I was thinking the same thing about spikesmom - really hoping her LO is on the mend
Regarding 6 month pictures ... um LO turned 6 months 2 weeks ago and I still haven't taken his picture yet. Oops! Last night wasn't the best for sleep, but we're slowly but surely getting there. My Sister and nephew are still really sick, so DH and I have been juggling LO in between working. I hear him downstairs screeching. Its a new thing he's started. Its super high pitched and not fun for anyone.
I think I have an UO. I love the high-pitched screaming! I find it endearing how baby has discovered the various aspects to her voice- especially when she tries to do it so high-pitched that it comes out like a whisper! I might be weird.

zengal, My back is feeling much better. I laid flat on the floor with ice packs and then took a bath in epsom salts. I really do swear by epsom salts baths... Seriously!!!! the next morning I woke up and my back Definitely hurt... but more like I had really overdid it working out and less like I can't move. Since then it has progressively been getting better. Thanks for asking Also, I LOVE his high pitched scream MH can't stand it lol. I think it's so cute... it helps that he is usually super smiley when he does it cause he is just so thrilled with his new sound
sadie74 Yes, it was a combination of things. First, I used this anti-itch stick called After Bite or something like that. It had been used on other people, and made my bite infected. On top of that, I was doing competitive cheerleading at the time. We practiced for several hours on many days a week, and I couldn't exactly say "Hey, I can't practice today, I have a mosquito bite" because that sounds ridiculous. I did mention it to my coach and she basically told me to suck it up. So running/jumping/dancing on it made it flare up even more. I went to the doctor after it was to the point where I was having trouble walking, and he took one look at it and sent me straight to the hospital. It was quite an experience haha.

DH wins major brownie points this year. I came home to this beautiful dress and necklace. He definitely cheered me up because I received some devastating news about a friend today.
Drive by post I am super freaked out because the doctor called and said preliminary results showed microscopic red blood cells meaning that something is seriously irritating his digestive track whether it's dairy or a bacterial issue or something else we won't know for at least another 3-4 days which puts into the holiday weekend :-( I'm a super worried mommy

Beautiful dress songbirdsinging55, Major brownie points for the H. sorry to hear about the bad news with your friend
Welp we have a tooth breaking the service over here. He has been REALLY upset taking his bottles today. H is giving me break from any bedtime duties (including feeding him) so that I can get ready for my girls night... He said why don't we just feed him more solids tonight since he is fine taking those. Is this a good idea or bad idea? I make my own purees so I usually just give him one ice cubes worth. Would two be ok? what do you guys think?
