Turning LO's push car around every 15 seconds is actually a bit of a workout. Back and forth and back and forth we go.
My lyfe. Seriously, that's the only thing LO wanted to do this morning. We're getting out of the house this afternoon or I'm going to have to hide that thing.
Those things should have a push handle for the grown ups. Otherwise I end up walking hunched over and then my back hurts.
I've forgotten everything before all the crockpot recipes started.
AW: I went running this morning. I'm damn proud of myself for going out and doing it because it's hella cold outside. I'm rewarding myself with Sonic breakfast burritos and Starbucks, so I'm just sitting in the parking lot until I have to go pick up 3 from preschool because E is still sleeping.
I'm wishing I'd also gotten mozzarella sticks at sonic.

I was WFH yesterday, and had nothing better to do, so I finished my sewing projects for DD's party. (shirt and a banner for her high chair). I have a big project (Annual Report) to complete this week, in addition to the regular weekly things I do for my second job, but I couldn't work on them because I was waiting for info to complete them. Now that I'm in the office at my first job today, the things I needed to work on the projects for my second job are trickling in. Guess I will just have a super busy Friday, and we'll have to grocery shop on Saturday instead of Friday.

Today is a weird day. My boss is leaving for her new assignment next week and we're on the goodbye tour. Some of my stores I'm keeping, but others are going to different districts starting 2/1. It's weird giving direction for someone else.

My baby is taking the longest nap ever. Which wouldn't be a problem except I am starving...like eat my own leg hungry and there is no food in this house...We are going grocery shopping today and it to lunch...if she ever finishes napping...Ugh
So speaking off DD1 (which I do a a lot, so forgive me):
She has a crush on a boy in her class. She got an invitation to his birthday but I told her she couldn't go because it is same-day as LO's birthday party. She got really upset and I said "But, I didn't even think you were friends with Dylan" and OMG she gave me an earful. She knows everything about him. Like they have talked, really talked. She know what belt he has in karate (they have that in common). Apparently she sits next to him at snack time every day and they play together often.
It made me sad that she is starting to have a life I don't fully know about. We always talk at dinner and ask about her day but I kinda think she didn't tell us about Dylan because she thought we were going to tease her. I talked to H last night, we are both big kidders and sarcastic to boot, so I think we have to be more aware of how sensitive she is to these things.

That is the cutest and saddest story. I think it's awesome that she opened up to you and made you take a step back and think about the sarcasm/kidding bit. It's not too late!
I'm personally craving mac & cheese with diced ham in it.
Oooh, or the homemade corn dog muffins (you prepare cornmeal mix, put it in muffin tins, cut up hot dogs or sausages and drop them in the mix and cook using the box directions for regular corn muffins).
OR brinner. Brinner's a winning dinner.
These are by far the most Midwestern things I've ever heard you say lol!
I think this baby is super midwestern. I've been eating all the refined carbs and processed crap for a month now. I hope he says ma'am... wait, that's southern.

Oh my goodness, you're basically one step away from the April Nardini freak out when Luke wouldn't let her go to her first boy/girl party. (Life always goes back to Gilmore Girls or West Wing.)
djtippietoes - that's super ninja annoying. I'm sorry! As if it's not complicated enough to navigate everything you're trying to get figured out without people screwing up like that.
laur - I feel you. I think that's been the weirdest thing about this year, that DD goes off every day and does all kinds of things that I'll just never know about, and it's only the beginning. We're really trying hard to make extra time to just sit and chat with her about things so communication stays open. Some days we get the bare minimum description of what she's done that day, and other times we'll get a huge stack of stories. Watching your kids grow up is awesome and hard. ♥
Thanks for the good luck, everyone! It went pretty well, but we'll have to go back because we couldn't get the results we needed on part of the test. It was a weird experience. You go in a little soundproof room with creepy toys and flashing lights and speakers so the tester can leave the room and try to get your baby to look wherever the sound is coming from. The whole thing felt straight out of a really creepy horror movie and I had a hard time not laughing through the strangeness.
So they think that B's hearing is okay, but we couldn't keep him still enough to get a solid reading on the test they do as newborns, unfortunately. We even resorted to trying to do it while I nursed him, and we came the closest with that, but he was NOT happy about things getting stuck in his ears, so that was awesome. Hopefully we'll get the results when we go back in a few weeks.

I have A's stomach "bug" that hung with him for over a week. No wonder he was a crying clinging mess. I get abdominal cramps that stop me in my tracks, I'm not hungry, and I've got one mean case of the bubble guts. I had a smoothie for breakfast, and I'm skipping my lunch for now, because it sounds terrible to me right now. (Stinky tuna again djtippietoes ) It's pouring buckets outside, so I'm too lazy to go anywhere and get anything.
I guess stomach bug is my best hope as a weight loss plan so far this year?
I feel like the way Luke acted around April was so outside of his character development up to that point. Like they gave him a lobotomy.
He seriously became Pod Luke. Oh, this woman who you've been in love with for almost a decade and have FINALLY landed? Just ignore her for a few months and cancel you're wedding. Shouldn't be a problem. Seems legit.

Right?
Luke who didn't even like kids and only tolerated Rory because she was basically Elenor Roosevelt trapped in a 14 year old ' s body.

I really want to drop my morning pump, and I can't wait to be able to sleep in more. but I'm having trouble- I'm down to 10 minutes vs 45 but still getting 4 oz, leaking all day, and uncomfortable. Sigh. Maybe I'll just keep the 10 minutes for a while, until I stop altogether so I can do things like cabbage leaves and antihistamines. Right now I wan t to keep at least one pump so I don't want to do anything that'll make me dry up altogether.

Preach ladies. April pretty much ruined the show for me and I am a mega fan.
Also I just looked up the actress who played her and she's 22 already?! I'm so old.
Wwf14d? A while ago, I bought the Cozy Coupe because there was a good Cartwheel deal on it, but I really wanted the Cozy Truck for E's birthday. They finally have the truck in stock. Should I bring the car in to exchange even though it was so much cheaper? Leave it be? Will it bug me every time I see it?
