I have gotta find something to do or look forward to on Thursdays. Because every week, we get to Thursday and I am out of patience, then what little routine we have is shot to shit. Then I feel crazy and like I am terrible at this SAHM thing and I second guess, like, every adult decision I've ever made.
ashie0610 my unicorn has also been a donkey this week, but it is improving? I think I got my longest stretch in about four days, last night. Hope your LO returns to his former habits soon!
This is a good point...lady's who have seen the three month sleep regression, how long does it last? How slow is recovery?
Well...I'm not sure how it will go with DD and every baby is different...
I think we are on like day 5 of eat all the milk and sleep as little as possible. I'm assuming she will incrementally improve over the next week or two and hopefully she will go back to previous sleep habits. 3 60minute naps, and two long stretches of night sleep, usually 5-6 hours followed by 3-4 hours.
I think that is similar to DS at the same age, but he fed a lot more often and I know he didn't STTN consistently until he moved to his own room at 1yo.
Well so much figuring out this site yesterday. My mom came to visit us. I love you mom but since you live an hour away dont you think you should call before you come, not just surprise visit us. I'm glad we were home. Oh, and please trying to feed DD ice cream. She's three months! I also work online so when jobs come in I take them, so sometimes no work and now, swamped. DD went to bed at 10 and I couldn't even go to bed. Working till 2am and probably the same today. I need all the coffee!
I second this baby sleep discussion. We've started popping the pacifier in her mouth if she wakes up to see if she'll just go back to sleep. Most of the time she does. Guise, I have got to get a unicorn. Please teach me your ways! I need her out of the RNP. I'm thinking about going straight to the crib. Does anyone think it would be unsafe to pin her legs down with a blanket tucked in tightly on either side of the crib? Yes? No? Maybe so? HALP! ME!
DHs stupid fucking dog got skunked at 4am.. our house reeks and DH was late for work. He gave her a bath with vinegar but the smell has filled our house. And it's too cold to keep her in the garage so she's in the basement. I have the ceiling fan going and glade plug ins but it just smells like Hawaiian ass. Stupid dog.
OMMAGAH! The worrssssst! Did you try dawn soap with the vinegar? Sometimes that helps but the smell seems to linger for days.

So DS slept 4 hours last night, from 9:30-1:30. All in his cosleeper. He woke up twice more between 2 and 5, but I'm calling it a win. I have to wonder if he slept so long because of the 3oz bottle my dad fed him before bed. Might be something to explore.
Oh and my baby brother went back to college on Monday, so we finally set up DS's crib! My mom's going to try and get him to nap in it today. We put him in it last night and he looked so little in his big bed.
DD woke up with blood spots all over the bottom of her gown. It looks like she was kicking so much last night that she rubbed a raw spot on her little toe and it bled everywhere. Doesn't seem to bother her at all, but definitely putting socks on her at night now.
I think I have an ear infection. Because I'm 2. I took off yesterday which was dumb since my fever never came back and now I squandered my meager PTO. I'll see if one of the docs here will do me a solid and look in there for me.
Is there any discussion of making threads viewable only to registered users? Maybe it's dumb because there are so many members but it makes me feel a little better about stranger danger.
Guise. DD slept 8 hours last night. IN HER CRIB. Amazing.
After a horrible night of sleep the night before, DH and I were talking about needing to transition her. I got home from work to find that he had her all set up and asleep in her nursery. I was skeptical but man alive - from donkey to unicorn in less than 24 hours.
That's amazing! Nice work! Was that the first night that she slept in her crib? Our DD is still in her RnP in our room and JUST started to sleep in 4-5 hr. stretches so I'm hesitant to do anything different now, but I'd love to have her in her own quiet space. Also, did you elevate one end of the crib mattress slightly or do anything like that?

I'm glad sleep seems to be improving for you guys. I hope we follow soon!
I've gotta play "teller" today. Probably won't see much of me but I will silent tit the shit out of everyone DH and I had a good discussion last night about stuff with my brother. Then stuff about our communicating better about what we need. I've got a unicorn H. He had F laughing so hard last night, it was the cutest thing EVER

This week is flying by! We are going on day 7 of DD waking up smiling and not vomiting thanks to her new meds. It has changed my mental state dramatically!

You can do that? That's pretty cool but wouldn't they just end up registering to be able to read it?

I'm not sure. Other BB boards I have been on have been like that. It doesn't stop anyone from registering no, but I guess it locks it down a little from every rando who might be out there. IDK.

DS why do you wake up at 5 to eat when I have to get up at 6?!?!?
I'm in for a long day. Meeting my sister near my work so she can watch DS at her house....45 minutes away because FMIL has to go play home health nurse for a friend. Then after work I have to go pick up DS. I'm excited he'll spend the day with my sister and her kids, but damn!!!!!
The baby woke as I was walking out the door, so I popped in his room to see if I needed to make my sister (she had the monitor), and he looked so happy to see me! I put the binky back in his mouth, and he looked so betrayed. Sorry, Baby Dude. You're fine, and I've got to get on the road.
