My SO and I are expecting sometime in July so I figured this would be an appropriate board for me, but she also told me to watch where I post as I might walk into a mine field lol. I'm new to this board but she would show me stuff all the time on TB and the advice/brutal honesty was great. So here we go!
I'm happy to have a dad around here. I am also an expectant parent who is not pregnant. I have found the info and entertainment here are very helpful. I can get pretty anxious about not being able to help with/understand what my wife is going through and I find that this community is helpful in easing those anxieties.
slurpeelove Thank you! I plan on staying around and learning what I didn't know while my 4 yr old was a little bundle of terrific terror. ?
@chelseaamp11 The practice of handling hormones will help me respond to my SO's hormones when they get worse lol, and I'll take all the advice/brutal honesty I can.
14141111 I know all to well about feeling helpless at times, I just want to be there more for her than just being the barf bag holder and the verbal punching bag lol.

Welcome! Just be aware, as things progress, the brutal honesty can get nasty. Not in a snarky/bitchy way, but in a "oh my god why is your body doing that" way Enjoy!
Congrats! You are more than welcome here, I like having the dad's perspective on things too. Just be warned, if the thread reads TMI, you really might want to skip it

welcome! we share a lot of TMI about our gasses and such. but i have a feeling you can handle it!
Hello. It's nice to see a dad take the initiative. My SO knows all there is to know about making a baby, due to Years of fertility treatments, but is clueless about what goes on during pregnancy/birth. He is going to be in for a rude awakening in a few months!
Edit: I just crawled out of bed and suck at typing.

Wow, alot of warm welcomes thank you all. Didn't expect such a strong reply lol. I can already see this board is gonna be very helpful, and a very good outlet if things get a little rough. I was going to reply to all of you individually but I can already tell that it's not happening, oh and for all you curious fireflies...yes my SO is on this board, she was in TB for a while before it moved here. I'm really grateful that you all allow me to participate, I look forward to all the fun.
