I get to judge a science fair. Technically a "project expo." Somehow I ended up in the "hospitality and tourism" group so I am wildly curious what that might entail.
There were only 3 projects in my area. 2 were related to interactive maps. One of those wanted to create an interactive map and app for a local greenway. The other wanted to create an interactive map showing CO2 emissions in the 10 largest world cities and answer the question whether they contributed to the "depletion of the ozone layer", which seems to have a disconnect, but definitely a 21st century idea. Unfortunately both teams only had an HOUR beforehand to start so they were mostly just ideas.
The third was the self-contained special ed class showing us their coffee cart where teachers and students can order hot or cold drinks online and the coffee cart delivers the drinks to them. Students take inventory, make drinks, and it raises money for the classroom. Unfortunately the new calorie rules mean they will have to close it. Very disappointing.
