Oh man, thesportsgal and chiwifey, I am totally rooting for you guys. It's unreal how stressful the "not knowing" can be. Good on both of you for doing some reading and prepping for your appointments. I really hope you have wonderful physicians who give you the time you deserve.
@feegan, yay for babies still cooking! hopefully they continue the trend and stop trying to give you gray hairs.
sunnyb, what a freakin' rollercoaster for you. I was getting stressed just READING your post--can't imagine living it. So glad everything is okay so far.
@sassycassieb, I am so nervous about hitting the point where you're at. My growth has been so steep over the past 4 weeks, i can't imagine how i will look by 30--let alone 34 weeks--if I continue at this rate. Hang in there--you're almost done!

Weeks/Fruit/Team: 26 weeks, 2 days. Butternut squash, I believe. Di/di team green.
Symptoms: Still with the RLP on the right side, and got my first dependent edema today. Super attractive. I had to sit through 5 straight hours of lame lectures, though, so I'm hoping this doesn't become an every day thing just yet.
AW/Ultrasounds/Upcoming Appointments: Nothing this week. Relishing the break, actually.
Questions/Comments/Concerns: This may be wishful thinking, but have any of the 3rd trimester mamas noticed a slowing in their growth at any point? This all felt very manageable until about week 22, and in the past 4 weeks I have grown exponentially each week! I really need to stay at work through week 34 and I'm struggling with how that will be physically possible. Any/all pep talks are welcome. Also, does anyone have a particular support belt to recommend? I'm willing to try pretty much anything.
QOTW: If you're in the US, tell us what you're up to for the holiday today. If not, how was your weekend? My mom is visiting from across the country celebrating her bday, and my med school friends threw our shower on Monday. I loathe showers something fierce, and hated every blessed second of opening gifts in front of others, but loved getting to celebrate with our friends and getting to see how excited they were for us.
Symptoms: I had a total meltdown on Sunday because I didn't feel pregnant... no nausea, no appetite, zip. Cue vomit & ms on Monday & Tuesday. Yay! I'm sick again! (IF brain is sick and twisted)
Appointments- U/s on Thursday! By 15 weeks, I will have had 9 u/s. I'm grateful for all these opportunities to see them, but this is starting feel like overkill...
Question/Concern: Thinking about buying a Doppler... considering I had a meltdown between appointments that were only scheduled 8 days apart, I'm thinking it might relieve some anxiety. Is it harder to use with multiples? I'm going to ask the MFM to let me try theirs out in the office- if I can't find it there, I'm not buying one and panicking at home!
Memorial day weekend:
Sobbing mess on Sunday, sick grossness Monday. I was tons of fun to be around

Weeks/Fruit/Team: 20w1d/ mango/ Team Purple!
Symptoms: rlp, back aches, increased heartburn, morning gagging, etc AW/Ultrasounds/Upcoming Appointments: My next appt is with the MFM on June 15th for a fetal echo scan. Then on the 18th I have an ob appt.
Questions/Comments/Concerns: We started registering at BRU yesterday. It is fun, but very overwhelming and tiring. We are only about 1/2 way done and were there for 2 hours.
QOTW: If you're in the US, tell us what you're up to for the holiday today. If not, how was your weekend? We had our gender reveal party on Saturday. It was so much fun. We didn't do much yesterday except take MIL out for lunch and then DH and I went to BRU.
purplegaloshes no slowing down unfortunately. But honestly I remember thinking around 24 weeks or so that it was going to be impossible to do anything or be comfortable at all going forward. But I'm almost 32 weeks and still working out and keeping up with my 2 year old just fine. Some days or weeks are tougher than others, but overall I'm still managing.

I worked up til 34 weeks! The support band I use is by Belly Bandit. It's called Upsie Belly. m.bellybandit.com/when-to-wear/during-pregnancy/upsiebelly You can do it!! Just do the bet you can do. One day at a time and sit as much as you can.

I love my Doppler. I didn't/don't find it difficult to use!
kbrooke06 I took all the classes can that were offered at my hospital. Breast feeding, child basics, CPR, birthing class and hospital tour. I signed up around 25 weeks, and took the classes until I was about 28 weeks. It wasn't too bad for me. I suggest the birthing class, I use a lot of what they taught on a regular basis since I have continuous contractions and basic labor pains.
TTC: 2/14 DX: w/PCOS:6/14 1st round of letrozole: 9/14- bust 2nd round of letrozole: 10/14- thought it was a bust BFP: 11/7/14 Discovered baby B (twins) 12/1/14
steen9713 thanks! We are signed up for infant/peds CPR (actually made my entire family that's local sign up too), the breastfeeding class, hospital tour and baby basics. I just wasn't too sure on the childbirth series. But that's good to know that you have been able to use the techniques. I didn't think about the 3rd tri weeks and getting through those likely contractions. The way the schedule is, I'll either be 20-26 weeks or 25-31 weeks since it's a 6 week class. I'm thinking the earlier the better, right?
purplegaloshes: I grow more and more each week their growth and mine has not slowed down at all. I purchased a back brace off amazon I just read a bunch and picked one with a good review but I also wear a stretch band thing underneath it too. I wear both when i expect to do do a lot of walking. Otherwise I normally wear the stretch one only .. Every day. And I always hoped to make it to 34 weeks at work. Just listen to your doctor and their recommendations. you can make it!!!
schmella: I can relate to the IF brain, I remember how scary the first tri felt. I had a ton of U/S... To the point ice lost count. All I can say is I have never been in the Drs office and not had an US done. As much as it seems like over kill it's a nice reassurance.

I think the earlier the better, we couldn't take our birthing class with our provider because they were so full, we used another local hospital, which was nicer because they offered a 2 sat class series the classes were 4 hours each but it wasn't that bad at all, and I was 28 weeks at that point. Oh and it was. $ 10 cheaper lol since it's the only class that wasn't free.

steen9713 our provider doesn't offer classes, so we have to use the hospitals or a birthing center. We are lucky that we are employees of the company that owns the hospital we will be delivering at so all classes are free there for us! I just found out today, so now I feel like I'm going to be taking every class I can get into. Of course, I don't want to waste my time or be totally uncomfortable during them. Thanks for your help! And that's awesome that they offer weekend classes! I think ours does, but they are longer than 4 hours, so no thanks lol!
AW/Ultrasounds/Upcoming Appointments: Had a NST today. Was supposed to be tomorrow, but I got anxious because I wasn't feeling a ton of movement. Passed fine! phew. I have an u/s next Wednesday
Questions/Comments/Concerns: nope!
QOTW: If you're in the US, tell us what you're up to for the holiday today. If not, how was your weekend? Went to my mom's for a nice Memorial Day bbq... was so nice to be waited on! :-)

@feegan, steen9713, sunnyb, beachy, thanks for the solidarity. I'm more like @feegan --I don't feel like much other than my belly is growing at this point, but I'm only in my 26th week and i feel like i may explode!
i suppose i'll just keep on keeping on. as MH would say, "nothing to do but do it!"

Yeah I'm still all belly, and I'm hoping it stays that way for the last 6 weeks. But it's only my belly growing and it feels like it grows by the day.

thesportsgal are you taking prescription Prilosec? Is it working? I had a horrible night of no sleep and almost puking if I wasn't sitting upright from heartburn/reflux. Thinking I should call the OB for the prescription. She offered at my appt but I said I'd see how things go. Thinking it's time.

It's over the counter and it's been GREAT so far. I got the generic kind at SAMS (omeprazole) so a big box of smaller boxes of 14 day regimens. I cleared all of that with her of course (since you and I are probably SO paranoid right now and she said that was all fine.
So when it first started getting bad, at like 15 weeks, I asked her about it and that's when she said to use Pepcid. That worked for awhile but then it stopped so she said move to Prilosec.
I would definitely ask for something stronger. There is plenty of stuff that is safe during pregnancy and there's no point in going through that misery. And it was at least TEN TIMES WORSE than my singleton pregnancy and it didn't matter what/if I ate or drank. Water was seriously giving me heartburn
thesportsgal Water gives me instant heartburn too! I'll try the OTC first and then move on to the prescription if it doesn't work. Zantac just isn't cutting it.
@feegan: been thinking about you and your babies, so happy to see such a great update! Keep those babies cooking!! And sunday is just around the corner! You can do it!
