Introducing Emmeline Audrey!

Emmeline Audrey was born via C-section at 11:51am and weighs 7lb 1.5oz!

I got to see her very briefly before they prepped her and whisked her away to the NICU. But she is doing really well so far, and was stable enough that they could go slow and steady getting her intubated, and on all of her monitors. They did put her on ECMO (heart/lung bypass) and after they assess her tomorrow and see how her oxygen levels are (they were a bit low today before ECMO) they will schedule surgery in the next couple of days. I finally got to see her again tonight around 6pm and I'm in love all over again.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers through all of this... I did post a bit more info on the caring bridge site - for those on FB I'll post the link again in the group there.  I'll get a photo on here when I can get tiny pic to work for me. (there's one on caring bridge)

Thank you all for your amazing love and support through this pregnancy, and today.  The prayers and good juju were so appreciated, and truly helped - I saw a few before surgery this morning in the other thread and was so humbled by how amazing you all are, and how much you've become an extended family to me.

Congrats girl!! I saw the picture on CB and like her name she is beautiful. I am so glad that everything went well today and both you and her are doing well. I will be keeping you both in my T&Ps and I know she will do wonderfully with her surgery. That girl is a fighter! Lots of hugs and love.

Random- did you guys pick Audrey because of the meaning ? We almost picked that as our daughters first name since it means strength. it's beautiful and fits perfectly (and I'm nosey about how others pick names ).

We did!  I have always loved that name, but as things progressed with the pregnancy I really wanted a MN with meaning, and searched "strength" and "strong" - and both our options had MN's with that meaning (Isobel being the other one).  But Audrey just fit so well and was perfect to me - I loved it right away!
