What brand of diapers will you use?

ST+M's any advice? Are you brand loyal or do you switch depending on sales? Anything you particularly love about a certain kind? (Always on sale, never had a leak, last 12+ hours at night, etc)

FTM, I expect a lot of "sampling" before being able to decide what we really like for LO's since we have no actual experience. Just curious if you're going to start with one brand over another!

I'm thinking of trying to go with pampers sensitive at first, but we did get a lot of honest diapers at our shower. I also have cloth diapers for when she grows into the OS. I'm thinking we'll be a mix of cloth and disposable as time wears on:)

I am starting off on Pampers. I am open to trying out different brands but most of the moms I have spoken to prefer Pampers.

We found that, for our son, Huggies Snug and Dry worked best when he was a brand newborn. Then by the time he graduated to like size 1 and 2, we preferred Luv's. Now he's a toddler and about to start potty training... Really anything works at this point. A lot of times we'll just buy the store brand. Not sure what we'll prefer for a girl though. I guess we'll find out!

We weren't really brand loyal so if I happened to be at target or CVS we bought target or CVS diapers. If I ever bought in bulk online though I would always buy pampers since I had the least amount of leaks w pampers

We've always done Pampers, no complaints. I have super sensitive skin so will do the sensitive swaddlers to start just in case, then switch to swaddlers, then baby dry when he started sleeping through the night as the swaddlers wouldn't last long enough. Huggies leaked more for us, particularly poop-wise.

Kudos to all who are cloth diapering, you rock. I am too lazy and laundry is one of my most hated chores.

At first, Pampers, because cloth is work. Then a mix of Costco brand size 1-2, and cloth (I bought 2 boxes of the Costco ones). For size 3, I just scored a couple hundred Pampers for $35, and will use those along with cloth. And when Costco has huggies on sale, they will work too!

Pampers Swaddlers all the way to size 5 here. Honest every now and then when my toddler is in a no clothes phase because the prints are cute. They leak more than Pampers Swaddlers though. And Dollar General has the thickest, best sensitive skin wipes in the whole world. I make hubby buy them in bulk because he loves to shop there.

Likely start with Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive, and I'd planned on switching to Huggies Pure and Natural once we're in size 2-3, but Target doesn't have them, and they didnt appear to be in Amzn Subscribe and Save.

We had a lot of trial and error with diapers at the beginning with DS1- so many of them leaked!!

So. TBD.

Pampers swaddlers are what I have the most of. I have a package of huggies, honest, Costco, and toys r us' brand to try.

Pampers all the way, I even still put them on potty trained DS for night time (he's still in a crib so I haven't even attempted night time potty training yet). I have heard that huggies work better for kids with chunkier legs. No clue if there is any truth to that. I have heard Target brand diapers are pretty good too but pampers are just the softest and nicest, in my opinion.

My sister coupons and gets me almost all my diapers for free, so I use whatever the free brand is.

If I'm spending my own money I buy target brand.

I voted cloth, though that's only 3/4s accurate. We use disposables at the newborn phase and when we're traveling. Otherwise, it's BumGenius all-in-ones.

We use Huggies here. We love the little snugglers and little movers. They have a cinched back which helped wih blowouts for us early on and now the little movers have two extra Velcro pieces that help keep them in place really well.

Honestly it will vary by baby what works best... (I say this from experience with my own DS and from seeing my family's babies. My cousin has twins and they had to use a specific brand with their son but could use whatever with their daughter). For my DS I couldn't use huggies/Kirkland (costco) bc they always felt wet/leaky. Pampers and Up&Up (target) brand work well for him. We cloth during the day (most of the time) and found Flip covers with inserts to work great. But Charlie banana and other pocket diapers Leake for us. Pampers Baby Dry are what we use overnight and have done an excellent job of lasting 12 hours. Though we've had a few leaks in the past few weeks (when he saves the bulk of his peeing for night or when he drinks a lot in the evening).

We tried a ton. Started with Pampers Swaddlers, but DD constantly had blowouts up her back. Switched to Huggies Little Movers a few months in and had MUCH better success with those. Like megeliz1 said, the back is horizontally stretchy, so it gripped against her better and stopped the poop from shooting straight up her back. When she would wear Pampers, you could see straight down the back of her diaper; no grip at all.
After a few years, I got tired of the $$ so I tried Luvs. They were ok. Then I switched to Target Up and Up because I was soooooo over spending money on diapers. They aren't my favorite, I feel like I smell the pee faster, but they are soooo much cheaper!!
I bought a NB pack of both Huggies and Pampers because I have no idea what will work best for this baby.

Pampers Swaddlers for first few days and any long trips. Otherwise, we'll be using cloth (Blueberry, RaR, GMD, and GroVia).

Oh and we used Huggies overnites too. I know a lot of Pampers kids that used Huggies overnites too. They seemed the best for bedtime.

for overnights-- once DS1 hit about 14mo, we had to size up in overnights-- Huggies worked the best, pampers exploded all over him, it was gross. shortly there after we had to use a diaper booster pad in addition.

Pampers Swaddlers for up to size 2-ish. Then Luvs from then. Luvs are the same company as Pampers and have the same sizing/fit, but they are less luxurious. But every child is different, and diapers fit differently for a reason.

Pampers were my favorite for the newborn stage with DD, but I have known many people who prefer Huggies. I think it just depends on the individual baby, so I'm open to all brands. I bought a giant box of Huggies because the price was great, but I will switch to Pampers if they don't work out well. When DD got a little older and past the poopsplosion stage, I started using Up&Up and they were awesome.

DS pee'd out of every single brand except Luvs & he was allergic to Target Brand. Based on that, we're going with Luvs but we have a mixture of brands right now that we were gifted. I mean, who knows, she may not work out in Luvs so we'll see...

The NICU uses pampers sensitive (I think) so since that's what he's used to, I'm going to keep using them.

Oh jeez, a ton! In the very beginning we did pampers swaddles. Around 4 months we went through a poopsplosion phase that lasted at least 6 months and had to try every kind under the sun- huggies leaked the least (but nothing worked). Now we have more solid poops and use Luvs during the day cause they're cheaper and pampers baby dry at night because he leaks through everything else. The whole thing was a giant experiment and I'm expecting baby #2 to be no different

We loved pampers, but I tried up and up (target brand) and if I live close to a target after the newborn phase I might consider those when I don't have coupons.
