Friday (5/29) Symptoms, Randoms, Whatever

Omg, field day would be awful right now. You get teacher of the year in my eyes.

I'm just tired & cranky, I have 5 days left until my EDD. I just want next week to be here so I can celebrate anniversary & have my birthday. I'm going to be 21, a week today. wow, I never imagined I'd be 21 & about to become a mother but you know I wouldn't change it. I'm also really excited to be getting engaged within the next week, I can't wait to go & pick up ring on Tuesday. I'm so happy guys! Despite my foul moods, I'm just tired of being sore that's all, & next week can't come soon enough. My nesting has kicked in. LO's bag is all packed for hospital, it's just mummy that needs to be sorted now, which I plan to do tomorrow & finish cleaning the house.

Now I'm at home in the air conditioning with my feet propped up, contemplating going for a massage tonight since EVERYTHING now hurts. I'm bummed because tomorrow is my sister's high school grad party, but its another outdoor event in a huge, open field with no bathrooms and tomorrow is again supposed to be close to 90 degrees and sunny. I just don't think I'm going to make it. Maybe I'll stick an extra $50 in her card and cry my way out of going.

Omg that is absolutely awful!!! I can't even imagine. I'm sorry but wtf to them (teachers/administration) making you do that?! They should've found someone to cover for you. That's nuts! I'm so sorry you had to do that. I would've been the biggest bitch by the end of the day.

My DH, who for the most part dislikes his coworkers, and rarely drinks more than a couple beers, came home drunk as a skunk at 12am following what was meant to be "happy hour drinks" after work.

He had last called around 9pm so when I woke up near midnight I almost started to panic, but then he got home. I was slightly pissed due to the whole "going into labor at any time now" but fact is I'm not in labor. So I giggled as he ate cold pizza, babbled about his night, and tried to seduce me before finally passing out. Poor guy has to work at 7am, so that will be "punishment" enough!

What a weird night!! After being woke up late by DH's drunken shenanigans, I began to hear this loud thumping outside my house. I turned off the lights and didn't see anything outside my immediate house, so I peeked out the front door... Noticed the neighbor from two doors down walking in the middle of the street without his shirt on. He and his "lady friend" get really drunk and crazy a couple of times every summer, arguing loudly, etc...

THEN I notice a dog running through my yard out of the corner of my eye. So I pop back inside and watch, and see a man with a baseball bat coming through the trees! Turns out it was my OTHER neighbor, coming over to make sure we were ok! lol.. Once I recognized him I went back out and we whispered to each other about what the hell is going on?

A moment later all the lights in the house (that we suspected the loud noises/drama were coming from) went off. So we just stood there a few minutes and I came back inside.

Good luck sleeping now!! Ahh..

We had a weird night too! I wonder if something is in the air? Woke up to gun shots (complete with ricochet sounds - terrifying) and guys laughing. Our building is secure but I'm still a little freaked out. I love that your neighbor came and checked on you! That's very sweet

Thanks ladies! Glad to know I'm not the only one who thought that was a ridiculous expectation for a pregnant lady! And erbear, I really considered calling out but since I'm not working (unpaid) all summer I can't be taking off now. But I def was cursing myself for going in!

I know what you mean; I'm in the same boat (unpaid all summer).

Yeah last year I taught preschool and they wanted me back this year. We'll be struggling without the second paycheck. Thankfully our parents will help where they can with necessities and H is able to pick up freelance design work. i *might* pursue some tutoring work, but I really want to be selfish and enjoy my baby.

Tutoring is my plan too. I have 3 current clients I'll continue with and I may do some very part-time SAT instruction for Kaplan.
