It was when he was starting to get popular, and they didn't want his sex appeal ruined by... You know... Marriage and monogamy. Heaven forbid adorable kids and BABYWEARING.
FTR, DH had abs like Chris in Thor when we first got back together.
I hate my children today. They are driving me batshit crazy. Loony tunes. I'm ready to lock them all outside just so that I can have five seconds without screaming.
But then I realize they would just be screaming at the door, so I want to run away. And I am stuck. At. Home.

I haven't actually seen Thor, but I really like the TV spinoffs that are going on right now. Agents of Shield is great because Joss Whedon, and Agent Carter is great because I love strong women and period dress (it's set just after WWII). I guess it says something about me that I just haven't seen ANY of these movies because I don't have the time or attention span, but I'll watch an hour-long show over the course of many seasons because it comes in smaller bites and stretches out longer (and I can watch it online). But the talk about Thor reminded me — Kenneth Branagh was the director of one of the Thor movies, and he was my first true love. I saw him in Henry V in 1989 and I was OBSESSED with him all through young adulthood.

Wait! Who's the little guy??
The petit brother. I think he's an architect or something.
UO: Kenneth Branagh didn't deserve the Oscar nomination for Hamlet as Best Adapted Screenplay. It was publicized as unabridged so it was all Shakespeare.
ETA told you I was a nerd who keeps sitting uninvited at TCKT!

Well if it was all Shakespeare I agree with you. But also that's my favorite Hamlet.

Much to the dismay of MH and his Shakespeare Club, I've never seen it. This reminds me, I keep meaning to order a "To pee or not to pee" onesie for L.

He definitely deserves a lot of credit for the work he did to make Shakespeare accessible — he was great at interpretation and direction and all of his Shakespeare films are amazing. Yes even Love's Labour's Lost. AND he deserves some kind of credit for temporarily nailing down the amazing goddess Emma Thompson, even though he couldn't keep her. I mean, she's AMAZING.

I agree he has made Shakespeare accessible which is so important, but I think of the Adapted Screenplay thing whenever I hear his name. I preferred his version of Much Ado over the recent silly black and white one.
Decaf, it's more that Sparks isn't my cup of tea. The fact that so many popular novels are becoming films gives me hope in people starting to read more; however, I would love to see The Tempest hit big screens.
Chicken legs and thighs are way better than chicken breasts. For almost any recipe.
I just can't get behind dark meat. I've always been a picky meat eater though.
I know...ha ha ha. TWSS.
I don't get not liking dark meat. My IL don't like dark meat, so they only buy breasts. Breasts are fine, but the dark meat is fattier and more flavorful. How is that not a good thing?

I'm a vegetarian and prefer the dark meat. I don't get it either Lol

The fat is precisely why I don't like it. Like gristle or even marbeling in a steak grosses me out. And don't get me started on high fat content hamburger. Blech.

Red meat-blech! But the dark meat from a chicken drumstick is the best! No gristle in it

I think the dark meat thing is actually because that's all we ever had growing up. My mom was a super frugal grocery shopper. She would almost never buy boneless chicken breasts so they were like a huge treat. Now I buy them all the time because I can. I also buy red peppers, out of season fruit and red grapes all the time for the same reason, lol.

Oh man I LOVED Branagh's Much Ado, it was so so good and I think I saw it in the theater about eight times. But I also liked the recent one that Joss Whedon did, it was just different. Like cake and pie! I like them both, but they're very different flavors.
