Maybe this is more of an AW but I thought it would be fun to share any times you met a celebrity or when we were "famous" for anything etc. I have a few fun stories but thought this would be the most fun to share.... My dad was the CFO of the company that made the card game Uno before they were bought by Mattel. He had his band in developing the first off shoot of Uno which was Sesame Street Uno and helped develop a few games as well. I got to appear on a series of kids board games called Games for Growing. There were two games I was on but I could only find one picture online. You can even buy it as a "vintage game" on the d14 store!
That's really cool ! The only thing I've been in is the local paper for high school soccer. I met Laura bush once. My sister met princess Diana. She came to an air strip when we were stationed in England. My sister handed her a bouquet of roses and princess Diana zipped up her jacket, kissed her on the cheek and told my mom to get her home because it was too cold . My older brother got blessed by Pope John Paul II when he came to England, that was cool. Nothing cool has really happened to me.
Dang! I don't have my photo albums at my house since the basement is getting remodeled. But I've met Josh Hartnett at a coffee shop (he spilled his coffee all over the counter!) Josh Duhamel and Fergie (friends in common). I worked as a waitress at a huge sports bar at the Mall Of America and waited on tons of celebrities (some are real dicks!). My high school best friend's dad was the guy who helped set up major concerts in Mpls/St. Paul so we went backstage to a ton of concerts. It was pretty cool to met some of those people!

Woah! First Lady, Royalty and The Pope!? Insane!
I actually only shook her hand while she walked past. I wish o would have been the one the meet princess Diana, I love her.
I've got nothin... But, just the other day I remembered that girl on TD that got Anderson Cooper to do her birth announcement. Do you guys remember that?

I was in ESPN! I almost caught a home run at a Twins game but the guy reached up and grabbed the ball. It was on the ESPN highlights that day. I got to work the next day and someone told me they saw me on TV.
Eta: I'm the crazy looking one with my mouth open and my glove reached out. I ended up with my glove inches from the player.
None of these are terribly exciting, but I met Jay Leno and BJ Novak after standup events on my college campus (separate events). Jay Leno was so nice and called my friends and I the Spice girls. I was in a clip on the local news in elementary during a feature on a program at my school.

Are you kidding? Those are all really cool, even just by association

Oh I definitely think the Pope and Princess Diana are cool, I'm just jealous they weren't me ! Sucks being the baby of the family
Haha! My husband reminded me that I grew up with Seann William Scott. He played Stifler in the American Pie series. I guess I just think of Seann as Seann and not movie star Seann.

So jealous of you. Especially about Josh Duhamel and Sean William Scott
So jealous of some of the experiences some of you have had! At work a few weeks ago I rode an elevator with Geraldo Rivera. He's much smaller in real life than he appears on television

Went backstage a couple years ago after a show on Broadway to meet James Earl Jones. He's friends with my mom's boss so we went to his dressing room and took pics and chatted. On our way back to his room we saw some other actors from the show- Eric McCormack (Will from Will & Grace), Candace Bergen, and Michael McKean. During the show I walked past Uncle Jesse during intermission. He was in the audience. I may have been most excited about that haha.
I'm in the audience on an episode of The View and Dr. Oz lol. Really fun experiences.. Except I had REALLY bad cramps during the Dr. Oz taping so I didn't enjoy that one quite as much as The View.

DH and I are obsessed with going to show taping a so we've been to Oprah(I got to shake her hand as she walked out for the show in the opening sequence), Conan, Jimmy Kimmel and we were extras in a Zac Efron movie where you can clearly see my husbands face in an important scene. It was super fun! He's also been an extra on a show called mind games with Steve zahn but his episodes never aired Because it was canned. Zac Efron movie above.
He's also the marketing director of a movie theater that serves dinner and drinks and occasionally celebrity events so he's hung out with Jon Heder, the cast of Jesus Christ Super Star, and a few lesser known actors. Jake the Snake recently came out and took a picture with LO lol.

Steve Zahn has a vacation home in the same town/same lake we keep our camper on (seasonal RV park). My DH is convinced they are going to be best friends. We haven't run into him yet even though the town is small but its only our second summer owning a camper so he has hope that THIS is the summer.
DH and I go to a lot of conventions, where it's really easy to have celebrity encounters. At cons, we've met:
Billie Piper (Rose Tyler from Dr Who), Felicia Day (geek superstar), Norman Reedus (from Walking Dead and Boondocks Saints - he even featured DH's art on his Twitter), Summer Glau (River from Firefly), Edward James Olmos (Adama from Battlestar Galactica, my friend even had him smash a little model boat, haha)
Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori Grimes from Walking Dead) stopped by our table to check out our art and jewellery at a convention too.
I went to a screening of Serenity in Houston back when it was coming out and Summer Glau was there, so I've actually met her twice.
I also used to go to a lot of music festivals and have met many musicians (mostly Canadian) that way: Smashing Pumpkins, A Perfect Circle, Our Lady Peace, Tea Party, Joydrop, Sum 41, Bif Naked, Foo Fighters, Big Wreck.
My friend and I got to go on stage during Hole's set at one of the festivals. It was weird.
I've met a few celebrities, mostly from geek culture, at DragonCon. Got to meet the cast of The Vampire Diaries at DC a few years ago. Love Felicia Day and Summer Glau. Too late for San Diego Comic Con, but hopefully next year, or we may go to the one local to us and try for SD CC next summer.
I second this! I love Summer Glau and Norman Reedus is swoonworthy in my mind!
Summer Glau is seriously just the sweetest person ever. She is very genuine and humble. She's also incredibly gorgeous.
Norman Reedus is really cool too and seems to genuinely enjoy meeting his fans. Some people at conventions seem like they're just there for a paycheck and he has never really seemed like that type.
My son went to a convention last year and said the same thing. That it seems some people only do it for the money. He's a big Firefly and Dr. Who fan and was disappointed by some of the Dr. Who cast members behavior. I'm going to tell him you met Summer Glau and he'll be so jealous! He was so irritated that we had River picked out as one of our boys names because to him River is forever a girl name

I'm so jealous! James Earl Jones?! Hands down one of my favorite actors. Field of Dreams, The Sandlot, Coming to America, and let's not forgot that everyone and their mother has said the words "Luke I am your father" into a fan at some point in their life.
I'm definitely not famous, but I'm fairly well known in the local music scene. I sing with several bands, have done some studio recording for songwriter demos, and have performed in some pretty large venues (1000+ people). My favorite thing to do is to sing at weddings, though. I love being a part of such a beautiful and special experience in people's lives. Plus, they usually have an open bar
I wish I could sing! I sound like a bag if angry cats when I try
I shook hands with Bill Clinton at a army/navy game when he was president. My DH and I won the Newlywed game back in 2009. Carnie Wilson was the host. We were both pregnant and she rubbed my belly when we won and ran down to where she was standing.
