Started TTC# 1 5/10
DX: Unexplained IF
Lots of IUI's and 3 IVFs later we have a daughter!

TTC #2 IVF #4 and an FET brought us DD #2 on St. Patrick's Day!
I'm here! I have an almost- 2 year old and am due with #2 in July. On the Ping now, waiting for my t-slim in the mail at this very moment. I also have a dexcom. Been t1 since 2002.
I want a pump soo badly...but my insurance goes from we just need 4 times a day for 3 months to, oh, your numbers are too good. Thanks:(
If your endo is willing to go to bat for you, there really is no reason they couldn't get you approved for a pump since you're pregnant. It's worth a try! Insurance companies make me nuts!!!

This. If your doctor deems it medically necessary, they can't really deny you unless you don't have durable medical coverage. You may have a co-pay, but it's not too bad considering the retail.
I don't know of an insurance company that doesn't cover pumps period anymore because they are so mainstream these days. They might be brand specific however.

This. Your endo should be able to show that it's a medical necessity. My old endo wouldn't endorse it because I didn't test enough (I was in college and I didn't). My endo now does whatever it takes for me to get what I need. I just got approved for another pump because I wanted one with a larger reservoir. Otherwise, I would have had to wait until May to get a new pump covered under my insurance's 3-year replacement policy. My doctor was able to show that there existed a need for me to have a different one and it was approved.
