Mason Erik was born 1/4 and 39 weeks. He was 8 lbs 7 oz and 21 inches long. Went in for induction after being diagnosed with hypertension and labs came back with elevated proteins. Labored for 48 hours before we decided the induction had failed. I dilated to 10 but he never dropped.
Owen Kenneth was born on Tuesday Jan 13 at 41 wks. He was 9 lbs 2 oz and 21 inches long. He is my 3rd and biggest baby .
I started having mild contractions Mon evening and some Tuesday when I woke up. I had been at 3cm and 50% effaced for 1-2 weeks. I had a checkup on Monday and we decided I was going in Tues morning to be induced. Since I was already having contractions, I just got ¼ tablet of cytotec inserted a little after 8am. I got my epidural around 12:45pm when I was 5cm and then had my water broken shortly after that. My epidural started not working on part of my left side later on and the anesthesiologist tried a bolus and adjusting it but it was too late to redo it. Going from 7-10cm was very painful with almost all the feeling back on my left side. I was ready to push at 6pm but the doctor was with another patient so I had to wait until 6:30pm. I told the nurse that my body was starting to push regardless so she better tell the doctor to hurry up. They had to rush getting the bed setup for delivery right before he came out. He was born at 6:36pm and his shoulders almost got stuck but he came out fine after some extra pushing on my stomach from the doctor. They had to watch his blood sugar since he was considered a 'large baby' but all his tests came back fine! His big sisters are loving him and we couldn't be happier .

Henry James made his arrival at 37 weeks 1 day on January 1, 2015. 6lbs 11 ounces and 20 inches long. (Well that's what I remember anyways). My water broke around 4:30am and he was here by 10:04 am. Pushed for under fifteen minutes and I was going for a time before 10am. Oh well
I'll figure out how to add pictures one if these days.
Born 1/28/15 at 5:12pm 8lbs 9.7oz and 20 and 3/4 inches long.
Water broke at 2:45am (right after my H and I decided to finally go to bed). I was 4cm dilated and was put on pitocin at 6am because there was quite a bit of meconium present in my water. I had to wear an oxygen mask because Zoey wasn't handling the pitocin being raised well. An amnio fluid drip was inserted to help flush out some of the meconium. By 4pm I was 10cm and told to do some practice pushes. I did 3 and the nurse made me stop because if I kept going she was coming out and the doc wasn't at the hospital yet. Once the doc arrived it took 6 pushes and my little girl was out!
Hunter Nicholas born 1/6 EDD 1/15 i was induced after I went to L&D not feeling well. My BP was high so I was admitted on Monday night to start Mag. Pit was started on Tuesday after my Epidural was started. He was born at 8:55pm after 15 mins of pushing! We are so in love!
Connor Jude Born 1/6/15 at 12:06 am 38 weeks and 1 day gestation
Water broke at home around noon, went to L&D, was in a room around 2:30 pm, only about 1 cm dilated. Got 2 doses of the suppository to soften the cervix (can't remember what they called it), pitocin started gradually at 7:30 pm. Contractions started to hurt so I got an epidural at 10:30pm (3 cm dilated), relaxed for a bit, started feeling a lot of pressure, nurse checked and I was at 9cm, they had to hurry and get set up because it was happening fast. I pushed 4 times and he was here! Some scary initial moments as he didn't really cry, just squeaked a bit and his heart was racing, we quickly did skin to skin. He started rooting right away so I nursed him for an hour, his heart rate stabilized during that time.
He is sweet and perfect and looks exactly like his big sister!
Fiona Mae Born at 5:38 am on Jan 20th at 40+2 9 pounds, 1 ounce 23 inches long
I went to my midwife appointment at 40+1 to get checked and was already 5cm. She told me she guessed my water would break that night, and sent me home with a bunch of pads just in case. 1 hour later the contractions started. We timed them until 8pm then called the midwife and she came to our house at 9pm. I laboured at home for a few hours and then decided to go to the hospital at 11pm when she checked me and I was 7cm. Got to the hospital, DH and the midwifery student set up the birthing tub and I got in as soon as I could, hoping it would alleviate some pain. Around 8cm I really wanted some drugs but didn't think I could sit still through the contractions and didn't want to slow things down, so decided to go med free. At 5am I felt the urge to push and couldn't bring myself to get out of the tub...so even though it wasn't entirely planned, Fiona came floating into the world after 30 minutes of pushing. The midwives said she looked 6 weeks old between her length, rolls and big head (37 cm!). I had a complicated tear (due to the size of her head and being born with one hand up on her face) and started hemorrhaging quite badly, so the first midwife quickly tried to stitch me to stop the bleeding. She discovered a problem area and called another midwife in, who decided she needed to undo some stitches and start again. Two hours in, they decided to call surgeons in for help. They decided they needed to undo ALL the stitching and start from scratch. Needless to say DH was seriously worried/stressed at this point and I was out of it from the extreme and drawn out pain. Finally, after three hours of stitching we were allowed to go to our room. Labour, delivery, repair and recovery have been way worse than I ever imagined, but I forget all about it for a moment when I look at this face:

Reid Michael born January 30 at 40w 5d. 7 lbs, 20.5 inches Successful VBAC!
Had a regularly scheduled midwife appointment at 1, a routine 41 week non stress test at 2:30, walked up to L&D shortly after 4, where they looked at me and admitted me. Labored in the tub for about an hour when my husband and doula showed up, labored on the toilet and bed for another hour, pushed for the final hour and he was born at 6:55! In hindsight, my 16 day practice labor seems to have led to a 3 hour real labor :-)
Induction started on 1/16. Was given meta(sp?) to start because I was not experiencing any contractions. Foley bulb used, pitocin eventually given. Took a soak in the birth tub to help with labor pains. With steady contractions and dilated at 7-8cm (If I remember correctly), eventually gave in to an epidural. Slept for almost 7 hours, before I was told she was ready to make her world debut! Will post photo when I figure out how the hell to do that.
I haven't posted here yet, and have occasionally posted on the other site.
Owen Henry was born on January 27, 2015 at 5:26pm. He weighs 7 lbs 13 oz, 21 inches. He was 2 days late.
We checked into the hospital at 6am that morning to be induced. Since it was my second pregnancy, my ob was willing to induce me as early as 39 weeks, but I wanted to wait til at least my due date, in hopes I'd go into labor on my own.
At my 39 week checkup (a week before that), I was at 2-3 cm, 60% effaced. I was the same that morning. At 8am, they started me on pitocin, and my ob said he'd come during his lunch break to break my water. I told the nurse to have the epidural put in right before my doctor came, so the epidural was put in at 11:45am, and my ob broke my water at 12:15pm. I was 3 cm when my doctor broke my water. I felt fine because of the epidural, but slowly started dialating more. By 3:15pm, I started feeling more pain, so they had more of the epidural put in. 20 minutes later, I was still in bad pain, so they checked me, and I'd jumped up to 8-9 cm, so that's why the epidural wasn't working and they said no point . So they called my doctor, who was finishing up with his last patient at his office, and then would head over to the hospital. During that time, I felt the need to push, but the nurses were telling me to try and hold off til my ob came, which was really hard. My ob finally arrived at 5:05pm, got some things ready, and then I started pushing at 5:10pm. Owen was born at 5:26pm, so it was a really fast delivery. I didn't count the number of pushes, but this labor was much easier than my first one (4 hours of pushing).
Charlotte Marie Born:1/4/2015 @ 1:10 pm (Due date baby!) 8 lbs 7oz, 21 in
Woke up around 3:30am with some crampy contractions that were about 15 minutes apart. At 4:15 they quickly went to 2 minutes apart and STRONG! Was 7cm at check in at L&D, started pushing around 9am but couldn't get her past the bone so we had to go c-section. :-( No VBAC for me.
Emlyn Avery Jones was born on Sunday, January 25, 2015. She weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. I was in labor for 2 days, and pushed for 8 minutes. My hip is still recovering, but everything else is great.
