Ok, I am so, so, so excited about this that I have to share! 

One of my friends and I just got tickets to this concert!!! 

I am beyond excited (although apparently not as excited as my friend, who literally squealed with joy when I told her the tickets were purchased!).  Andrew McMahon + Broadway.  Two of my favorite things, music-wise.

Umm sadly I can't think of anything other than H graduation from Fellowship which is not until June. It is a huge deal, just sad I can't think of anything sooner

Our 5 year anniversary trip to DC in June!!!! It will be our first baby-free trip. I can't wait.

Getting a vacation this year. The last few years, I had to use my vacation time for no vacation things, including maternity leave. This year, I actually get to use it for vacation! We don't know what we are going to do yet. We were talking Disney, but I don't think DD can handle a flight with her anxiety.

It's mine and my besties 30th this year (mine in a couple weeks and hers in April) so we are taking a trip to the casinos. It's only a couple hours away from home but it's no kids.

I am excited to start DD on food in a couple of weeks. We did BLW with DS so I am sure we will be giving her grandparents a heart attack... Which I kind of find entertaining. Personally, I don't think she'd even take purees at this point. She hates it when I try to shove a bottle in her mouth, so I think a spoon would be no different.

My sister and family moving from PHX to TX in May or June. I hope she really does it!!

Summer vacation...we are doing a week and a half in SoCal. Woot!

Also, one of the major leaders from our church is speaking in our town in a few weeks, and we are getting a sitter for DS and going to listen to him speak. I'm really excited because he's one of my favorites.

I am looking forward to being well. DS just got yet another nasty bug, which of course I also have now. And it SUCKS. I cannot handle being this pregnant and this sick right now.

DH has two internship offers for when he graduates in a couple months and they'd look great, very exciting! After almost 5 years of being married we will move out into our "own" place.

Of course, today I was also thinking about what would I do without his grandma right now - she took one look at me huddled on the couch under a blanket this afternoon, dropped her plans and played with DS for a couple hours while I slept.

I'm looking forward to DS not puking so much. Lol.

But really, I'm looking forward to moving. My brother told me we can count on him buying our house, and I am beyond excited that we won't have to worry about finding a buyer and working out the timing of buying and selling at the same time. We won't be able to settle until around June though, because we both need to save more money to make it happen. So hopefully we can find a house that we can afford and in the location that we need by then.

We are starting to plan a move to the East Coast this summer. There are still a lot of moving pieces (either DH's federal contract needs to be renewed, I need to actually get one of the fellowships I applied for last month, or both), but we should know in the next month if it will really happen. I'm crossing all of my fingers and toes that it will because, as much as I love the Bay Area, I hate being so far away from our families.

We entered DS1 in a lottery for a public pre-k spot at a montessori we love, and we won't know the results until Feb; chances are slim, but I am dying to know! And if we don't get in, we're planning a trip to WDW for September, so it feels like a win-win either way the results come in!

I'm excited for my car to be paid off so I will only have mortgage payments when I'm off on mat leave!! It's been a long 5 years with this car and I'm ready to be free of these 400$ a month payments!

Another thing I am looking forward to is new carpet. Our living room's has a couple rolls, and the cat tore a spot a few years ago. We are getting a darker color, that hopefully won't show every single thing the kids spill.

I am excited that we have a real offer on our condo and should be rid of it by 2/27.

I am excited that we should have working phone and internet at the new house by 6 pm on Monday. It's been a month.

I am excited that we are getting our dishwasher and new dining room lamp installed tomorrow.

Just excited in general that things seem to be falling into place, finally.

I'm looking forward to finding out sometime in the next few months whether my current position will be made permanent (and in Germany, that pretty much means I have it for life unless I commit a felony or the like).

I'm really hoping to get KU again soon. Very soon.

I'm looking forward to getting a 0.5 million euro grant proposal sent in and maybe even approved (although it can take up to 8 months for a decision, so that might not be until next year).

I can't wait for my brother and SIL to come visit us in May.

Also, I'm pretty sure my friend and I need to enter some kind of12-step program for Andrew McMahon. We saw him in Philly in November, and, um, we also saw him in Stroudsburg last night, so once you factor in that Broadway thing, that's 3 concerts in as many months. Last night we were super close:



And at one point he jumped into the crowd and was running around while singing. It was freaking awesome. And now I have no voice.

Also, I find myself already thinking about elementary schools for DS1. How lame am I?

In our state in Germany, after 4th grade kids are separated into 3 tracks of schools - for the smart kids, the average kids, and the dumb kids. Obviously they call it something different, but that's what it is. And then there are many different concentrations for the smart schools. I've already started looking into the ones that have bilingual English/German tracks. The kids are 3 and 1...
So no, looking into preschools and grade schools already is not nuts in my book
