I was wondering if anyone else is have a dilemma regarding high chairs. I'm torn between the Stokke Tripp Trapp(which seems to adjust and grow with the child)
No help here, since we are not getting a high chair until it'll be needed, then thinking about one that clamps to the dinner table.
But, I understand your pain, we're having a tough time choosing both the travel system and whether to go with a crib or a pack n play for our small apartment.
I'd go for the Tripp Trap because it's a solid surface and can be used without a cover, and used for much longer.
The worst part of high chairs is how disgusting your child can get them when they start self-feeding. Food in every imaginable crevice that will get crusty and nasty if it's not wiped down after every meal. It's so much easier to have a high chair that can be used without a cover and wiped down easily. Even covers that say they're easy to clean are still much harder to clean than wood or other solid surface chair.
I know everyone's different but the high chair was one of our longest-lasting pieces of baby gear (we used it from 6 months to 2.5 years) and if I had it to do over again, that would be one thing I wouldn't mind splurging on.

Love the Tripp Trapp. We have two because our toddler loves hers and we needed one for the baby. It's great for older kids because it puts them at the right height for the table without squishing their legs. Actually, that makes it great for any age.
Also, it is very easy to clean. Even if you miss things and things get crusty, just gently scrub with with the scratchy side of a sponge and it's like new. We tried a bunch of high chairs when our 1st was a baby and most of them make the kid recline which is really awkward for eating. The Tripp Trapp lets them sit up straight.
We had a big FP freestanding chair for DS1 and 2. It didn't make our cross-country move when DS2 was 1.5yrs. We opted for a strap in booster in the new city thinking we were done, which we were obviously mistaken about). Now I'm looking for a strap to a chair system for #3 because we not going to add more bulky purchases unless absolutely necessary.
We're not getting a high chair either. I'm getting one on those chairs that straps on the dining room chair from a friend. My dilemma has been baby monitors. There's so freaking many!

I wouldn't do any chair w/ fabric padding. We had the big Chicco high chair that is similar to the Peg Perego one you have listed and EW. I spent too much time every day cleaning it and it was still gross and crusty. We donated it and got the $20 plastic chair from Ikea. SO much better. Wipes down and takes up far less space.
FWIW, DS is almost 20 mos and is refusing to sit in a high chair. He insists on sitting in a regular chair at the table. Sometimes he will acquiesce to a booster seat in a regular chair but the high chair is suddenly lined with hot pokers. I wouldn't plan on any chair actually being used for a super long time even if it can be. Kids tend to have a mind of their own, and doing a booster is so nice because we'll be able to get space back that the high chair takes up.
We had a clip on high chair but ended up putting a step stool under it until we could get a new chair. It just didn't hold up well to daily use. Now we have a booster that straps on the chair and has an adjustable height. It's pretty perfect. We were never fans of feeding tray type high chairs so we never had one of those... It seems like a lot more surface to clean?
We don't have either, but my SIL has the Stokke one and they've loved it. It pulls right up to their dinner table, so the kids feel a part of the group.
We chose a clip on one and it was great. It was/is fabric, but cleans so easily in the washer it was never a big deal for us. We moved to a strap on booster last summer and only used it for about 3 months, DS starting insisting on sitting in a regular chair.

My 2 and 3 year olds love their Tripp Trapps. We did not get them until they were toddlers. Before that we used the space saver chair that clips onto a regular dining chair. I liked using a tray when they were new eaters. Having them eat at the table was a lot messier in the beginning, at least with my kids. A lot more food seemed to fall on the floor.
The Peg-Perego one looks a lot like the Graco one we have. (We got it free from brother in law, so I never really shopped around for these). I like the high back & the tray size & I knew it was always sturdy & not going to be tippy. Con was mostly the size. Unless you have a spot to park it when not in use that it will not be in the way ever, you are constantly moving it to get through. Although it was a nice size, the tray was frustrating to clean as it was a bit larger than my kitchen sink.
I would for sure, avoid cloth seats as PP mentioned.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. The days the Chicco high chair tray needed to be REALLY cleaned I had to do it in my basement laundry sink because it was too large for my kitchen sink. And hooray for it being dishwasher safe, if your kitchen happens to be an industrial sized one where the tray will actually fit. We have a fairly new and fairly large dishwasher and the tray still won't fit.
Tripp trap is the only high chair DS has ever fallen out of. I'm still not sure if it was a parent fail or a product fail.
Oh no! :/ maybe we'll reconsider
I don't understand how a kid could fall out of one unless they weren't harnessed properly. Under 12 months you should get the baby attachment which makes it even less likely that they'll fall out!
We have a chicco polly. It's bulky and the straps are impossible to clean. Also the wheels constantly lock up on their own. But other than the straps being a pain to clean the seat cushions all come off and I do that often to get all the crumbs out.
I also have a fp strap on one which has been her favorite lately (garage sale find for my child care job).
