I'm keeping it classy (refresher and garfield cup ftw! Mil has no wine glasses, wtf)
My car started making a weird noise tonight and i noticed one missing lug nut. Asked fil to check the tightness for me (cause- back) and 3/5 of my lug nuts on one tire weren't even finger tight- 4/5 on the other back tire- and two on each lf the front, plus the missing lug. FIl's cousin's tire house did it- so ill call them tomorrow and get that shit taken care of!
DH closes at work tonight so I have bath time and bed time on my own tonight. I will be having a Strongbow once I'm done.
You just reminded me I have Angry Orchard in the fridge!
DH has been working 6am-7pm 7 days a week for going on 3 weeks now. He gets home just in time to help with bed time. I feel bad for him he's hardly seen the kids.
I had an interview yesterday and loved every minute of it. We literally sat and talked over coffee for an hour without children interrupting. It was pure bliss!
I am uploading pictures to Shutterfly, so I can order prints. I didn't realize I had so many photos to print. It will take like an hour to upload - blah!
Tabitha had another reaction to her mouth/face tonight. We think some peanut butter residue might have been on the bib, even though she has used the bib since Saturday. But, nothing else she had should have caused a reaction.
She had blood drawn from her arm and screamed so fucking loud. It didn't bother me, but it breaks daddy's heart.
James chose underwear for bed and to be dry in the AM (we were for his 4 hour nap today) ill be waking him up to make him pee and have the pad down on his bed!
@notyourmom 's post about James wearing underwear made me think of a question I had - when do we start potty training?
I was lurking another board - April, May or June 2014 a couple weeks ago and they posted pictures of their babies on their potty. I was, "what the fuck?!" Are we supposed to have one out in the bathroom?
But James has been hardcore working on it for the last 9+ months. He was nowhere near ready at 18 months (i tried) yankeepeachyalllow @disneyaddict aaaannnndddd @babylentilbean can probably all Give You other timelines
We are potty trained at our house. Used Thomas trains for potty prizes. He goes to bed without pull-ups. Mostly dry once in a while he might pee the bed. We have a portable graco toilet seat we take with us when we go places.
Edit to add: Sloan is barely 3. We tried earlier than that and he simply wasn't ready. After the 3rd birthday I said no more. That was that. Once he got the hang of it a week later we enrolled him in pre-school.
And as I typed that last note: my son spent 20 minutes sitting on the toilet talking himself into pooping. My hubs says that he sits on the toilet forever pooping. Hahaha

Potty Training.....well it really depends on your kid. There is no really perfect age that it must start at. Typically between 18-24 months is a good time to put the potty out and start introducing them to it. Talking to them about it, you can have them sit on it whenever you go. Some kids just get it and want to do it and it's smooth sailing really early. But don't be surprised if you are stuck in that stage for awhile. There are some ready signs you want to watch for. Like being able to voice somehow that they need to go. Being able to pull their pants up and down with minimal help. If you push too hard, it'll back fire. So don't feel like if they aren't doing this all at 2 that they are behind.
DS1 didn't fully buy into it until after 3 and we're still working on pooping in the potty. And he still wears a diaper for sleep because he isn't waking up dry. I do have to say that by waiting until DS1 was really ready we had minimal accidents as opposed to when I tried to force it at around 2 1/2.
I wouldn't start potty training too early. I tried with my DS and he regressed after awhile bc he just wasn't ready. I plan to have E out of diapers by 2.5 at the latest. You will know when they are ready.
Have you ever connected with someone ( not your significant other) instantly? As if your personalities and sense of humor fused together and you were speaking each other's language! Not necessarily sexual attraction or wanting to be with them... Just instant chemistry...

Yeah my mom really tried to push DS1, tried bribing with everything under the sun and he kept having accidents. And then even though we didn't scold him he would flip b/c he had wet pants. It was just way too stressful for all of us!
Ugh, potty training.....the bane of my existence for the past almost two years. DS1 started showing signs of interest a little after 18 months. I let him do his thing (mostly just sitting on it) until a few months after he turned two. Long story short, he started out really good, got scared by an automatic toilet, had some family interference, and it's been a rollercoaster of regression and progress ever since. He turns 4 in April and he will pee on the potty but will not poop. He just doesn't want to. No incentive we've offered even makes him want to try anymore. I'm so over poop and it's getting really difficult to stop family from trying to shame him over it.
yalllow I have connected with someone like that several times. Oddly enough they've all been men but I never dated any of them for various reasons (some were gay, some were spoken for, or I was dating someone else at the time). I'm still good friends with all of them.
