thelorax See, I'm so conflicted. We know there are a bunch of jobs there- his headhunter group continually contacts him with them! Then I think about DS having to leave his friends and his school...

Maybe this is my FFFC, but I would not let that stop me in the least. Unless they were about to graduate HS or something. Who knows, maybe there's a better place for him just waiting! What is really holding you back from making the move? (There may be a back story there I'm not familiar with)

pkp2thelorax Y'all are right. He'd be totally fine. The schools here are amazing, though. He'd do fine anywhere. I think I'm making excuses because this is, bar none, the most awesome place we've ever lived and I don't want to move and regret it, you know?

If we had the chance to move near family, we'd jump at it. At least I would! His or mine.
Ooo I now have another one! My boss isn't in and the museum is slow because it is beautiful out. I just started watching Orange is the New Black and I cracked a beer we had leftover from our cocktail reception last week. At my desk. QuickBooks is open too and I'm "recording deposits" if anyone sneaks up on me. (Beer is hidden behind speaker between sips).

MH painted clear nail polish on a spot on my thigh that is almost my butt. He thinks I have my first chigger bite. A southern rite of passage. At least it explains me scratching my ass the last week.
I have definitely thought about DH's death. A guy I used to work with dropped dead exercising at 32 two days ago. It's making me want to start nagging DH to go to the doctor again.
When we go home in May I get the itch to move back. When we go home for the holidays I think nope not going to happen. I love my friends there and DH's family Is awesome mine is not so great. and I have some hang ups about/ from being a teenager in the Midwest that make me think I would get depressed living there.
I must be the odd one out. I have no desire to move back to Denver or the states in general. I love visiting once a year. But even that now we are going to cut back. 1, M will be in kindergarten and we can't up and leave anymore when we want. 2, staying for months at time by the end of the trip I want to unspeakable things to my family. Just 2014/215 so far we spent about 6 months state side for one reason or another. We originally planned to go this September but I have no desire so we are going to Bali and Dubai instead. Not even sad I won't see my family for a couple/few years.

You live by some family though, right?
We live in morocco surrounded by DHs family. So I guess it's a bit different on my end since we still have family around

Having local help is a huge benefit plus your LO's grow up around their family and cousins, which is also very nice.
But, not enough for me to move home! Plus you have like a 20 hour flight that is a huge reason to not see family!
They do help which I appreciate very much. I couldn't imagine having no family around at all. Do you at least have a good group of friends for support?
We were rear-facing with no problems, but now that it's been 90° this week, I feel like she's always hot when we get anywhere because the air doesn't circulate good enough? Anyone else have this problem? Fffc: It's leaning me towards turning her around. (she inherited her father's sweat glands which are ridiculous..)
