About the pregnancy tests.

I was taking them every other day until last Thursday. I had enough to get through this Wednesday (appointment day) but when I took it, it had faded out a lot. I read that sometimes if your urine is too concentrated than things in the test won't bond correctly to the dye. This is called the variant hook effect. The next test I diluted my pee a little and the line was MUCH darker. It was maybe a half shade darker than control.

I'm so fucking irritable today. I'm sick of peeing. I'm annoyed with my H. And I'm tired. A trip to the grocery store has me exhausted. *monster growl*

Yes! I remember being afraid it would leak right through my pants last time and resorted to panty liners on occasion.

ETA: I guess maybe I have had some soreness. I have a dull feeling down there that isn't necessarily cramps, and doesn't really hurt but just something. So maybe a slight soreness? I do notice even if I bump my stomach on something or lean over the rail of DS's crib I feel tender and sore.

It's right at my incision. I only feel it if it's touched. DS was climbing on me and I noticed it the other day. Since then I've noticed it a few more times.

Hmm, I just pushed along my scar just to check. Lol. Since it's only when it's touched it's probably just tender from stretching but you could always mention it to your doctor.

I peed on so many sticks last time around.  I don't remember them getting any darker than the control line.  That control line is *dark*.

Thanks for the responses about the pee sticks. That makes me feel better that everyone else is getting the same result. My test and control lines have been the same the past few times I've tested- I was just wondering if it would ever end up looking like a positive OPK. But I guess probably not, and I should put the pee sticks away for good.

Mine never grew last time and it was just the nipples that were sore. Now they hurt like crazy and I'm pretty sure I'm lactating again but I don't want to pull my pump out because I just put it away last month.

Today is the day that the I actually threw up this morning and wasn't just nauseous. I hope it's not like last time and last the whole damn pregnancy.

When I got out of bed this morning I wanted to cut my boobs off they hurt so bad. I had been lying on my back so when I had to turn over and get up they had horrible sharp pains!

My boobs never really grew with DS but I noticed this morning I'm about maxed out on what will fit in my bra so I'm really hoping they hold steady so I don't have to buy new bras!

Somehow I completely missed this thread the past day or so, sorry I'm so late!

1. bee I'm sorry for your loss and I hope you're doing OK. Hugs.

2. EatsRitz I'm insane with Wondfos because I've had losses and they're cheap and what I've found is that the darkest they get is about the same as the control line, maaaayyybe a smidge darker. After that they get lighter due to the hook effect. The last one I took was so light it looked like my first BFP but I diluted the pee (I told you I'm insane) and it was much darker. But there's no judgement here so I can share this right?

I posted about the hook effect last night! Isn't it crazy?! I about had a melt down when I took a test last week and it was so much lighter.
