How was your week? Started out rough, but is ending alright!
News/developments: I got to see my wiggling bean on Wednesday. It was amazing. I feel so much better and everything feels more real. Unfortunately, DH tested positive for the flu. I'm a little paranoid about getting it. We are trying to take precautions.
Symptoms/cravings/body changes: Still nauseous. Still tired. I'm gaining weight a little quicker than I'd like.
GTKY what's the story behind your username? It's a play on my name.
Thanks for the hugs annabananabomb! Things have definitely gotten better. I'm all full of butterflies and sunshine since I saw my baby. Even the back pain has eased a smidge.
How was your week? My week wasnt to bad! Successfully moved into a new house and our puppy seems to finally understand the whole going outside to potty thing. Down side is my husband just left for a few weeks for work I should be use to this by now!
News/developments: Not many developments. My next appt is next thursday so I'm hoping to hear a heartbeat...also hoping they let me record it so that my husband can hear it!
Symptoms/cravings/body changes: I'm still pretty tired once about 7pm hits and the morning nausea hasnt seemed to stop, until I eat something. Yesterday was my first time actually vomiting from the feeling, made it to 10 weeks exactly. Not many body changes besides bloat bloat bloat.
GTKY what's the story behind your username? Shay is my nickname, r is my first initial of my last name. lol...pretty boring really
How was your week? The week was good! I feel good. First full week back to work after vacation. Looking forward to Disney this weekend.
News/developments: We had our first ultrasound on Wednesday! It was incredible. My symptoms have been so mild, I was worried something would be wrong. But baby was perfect! We got to see the heartbeat, it was 161, and baby was kicking it's legs and waiving it's arms. It was the best.
Symptoms/cravings/body changes: 10 weeks on Sunday! My symptoms are minimal (thank you lord). I'm tired but not exhausted. My boobs hurt but not nearly as bad. No MS. I'm definitely getting back pain. I didn't have much of an appetite before but now I'm hungry again which is good. I haven't noticed any body changes yet. I'm a bigger girl, size 16, so it'll take me a while to show.
GTKY what's the story behind your username? My name is Jamie so Hi, I'm Jamie. My old username was goulja1, it's a mash up of my maiden name and my first name. It's actually my log in at work lol
How was your week? This week was better than others, more productive. In general, moving past the worst of 1st tri. Oh, and my best friend sent me a care package filled with slippers, loofa soap, ginger tea, chapstick, chocolate and bath salts. A "baby care package." Which was so incredibly sweet, especially considering she has trouble being excited about others' pregnancies.
News/developments: Still nothing to report, still waiting on my first ultrasound. It's a week from today. I never got to even hear a heartbeat or anything, so I have no idea if there's even a baby in there. I mean, I assume there is, since I'm 11 weeks and haven't had any problems. But I'm still terrified this has all been for nothing.
Symptoms/cravings/body changes: The puking has slowed down. I think I have a cold today, because I feel like I've been hit by a bus. Extreme exhaustion is back, along with sneezing and nose blowing. Boobs went up 2 cup sizes though! That's fun.
GTKY: My username is the Valencian word for "pumpkin." I lived in the east coast of Spain for awhile, and had trouble adjusting from Spanish (castellano) to Valencian. Carabassa was one of the few words I liked better than the castellano version.

Thanks annabananabomb You are the best! I am super excited to finally be past 12 weeks! Such a relief to have made it this far and I'm feeling so much more confidence in baby. Also, GOODBYE MS!!! YAY!!!
How was your week? Week has been great so far! Nothing major here
News/developments: Just happily awaiting our next appointment, which is the second week of Feb. Glad to be feeling human again... I actually chopped up veggies and cooked dinner for the first time in months... Without needing to take a break lmao!
Symptoms/cravings/body changes:This week, I have gone from slightly squishy tummy to firm enough to make getting off the floor a little awkward. If it wasn't for the up and down at my job, I probably wouldn't have noticed. Also, I am horny as HELL! Shame mh is so tired lately... maybe this weekend I can get my groove back!
GTKY what's the story behind your username? Our shelter pup is named Elektra... I thought it would be different to play off her name. She's also my snuggliest, snuggle bug! She LOVES my belly now!
How was your week? Exhausting. I'm working nights now and this was week 2.
News/developments: Next OB appt on Monday and I get to find out if that pesky SCH was absorbed. FX it's gone.
Symptoms/cravings/body changes: MS hit full-force this week. Spent last night puking at work. Not fun.
GTKY what's the story behind your username? S/N from high school. Originally wanted to name a band All Else Failed, but later found out it was already taken. Not that it mattered since I never actually joined a band anyway. So, I just made it a S/N.
How did I miss this discussion the first time around? Sorry I'm jumping in late ladies! annabananabomb it is pretty amazing you took the time to personalize this for so many!
My screen name: first name is Ana, and in TB, I had my full name as my screen name (I signed in through the app, and didn't know that would be my sc for this board! So when I came here, I included my first name hoping it would help somewhat in identifying me and put berry on randomly.
Week: eternal week at work, and frustrated it takes so long to become a member in GBCB. I can't dedicate more hours to this place without compromising myself at work! I also don't want to post just to post... I guess slow and steady it'll have to be Symptoms: Boobs, I am now officially a 32 D, and don't want to waste on bras yet. Bras suck, and boobs spill everywhere, and apparently, mine will keep growing. Anyone have bra recommendations?
News developments: my NT scan is on February 3rd, I'll be 13 weeks and a half. I wish it were this week because I've heard the NT scan is between week 11 and 12.
I also missed the first round of this. Thanks annabananabomb for starting round 2!
How was your week? It was fine. Only had a 3 day work week with the Monday off and worked from home Friday. My students were a little crazy or maybe my tolerance for shenanigans is less with all these hormones. Probably both.
New developments: MH is obsessed with finding a stroller. We do a lot of outdoor stuff and its all hes been talking about. Im pretty sure once we have our 20 week a/s he will be buying one. It is sweet to see him into baby gear since generally he's pretty snarky about cutesy things.
Symptoms/cravings/body changes: I'm pretty much symptom free at this point but occasional p.m. nausea I think from eating dinner too late then laying down. No major cravings but someone posted about Chipotle on the WFD thread and now I need some. The blump is definitly growing and I'm raiding my mom's closet for some next size up pants. I've been using the hair elastic through the buttonhole trick all week. Strange how my pants fit in the a.m. but after I eat lunch that top button doesn't stand a chance.
GTKY: story behind my username: 'tunes is MH nickname and short for our last name and I added the miss because im not very creative and it sounded good. Sidenote: my work email is MANtunes and not by choice.
Hello to the other FTMs! This is my first post on this weekly thread, so nice to "meet" all of you!
How was your week? So-so. It was great having a 4-day work week and it was exam week at school, so less energy was required on my part. I'm still kind of feeling like crap, see below. I only managed to get out for 2 walks, so I will try for some yoga today. I'm keeping expectations low and just trying for 3 activity/exercise sessions a week. I hate winter so I'm just in survival mode. I could probably benefit from getting a happy light.
News/developments: NT scan yesterday went well! 12 weeks today based on my EDD of 8/8. I emailed my 2 BFFs last night to tell them the news, so we are slowly starting to let word out. They and their families are going to be very excited! I will tell my boss and a couple of close co-workers early next week too. Obviously, our parents and siblings already know. I think we'll tell my nephews tomorrow. They are 5, 7, and 9 and absolutely love babies.
Symptoms/cravings/body changes: I still have the nausea coming and going. I thought I was out of the woods on that a couple of weeks ago, but it has come back here and there. Snacking all day keeps it to a minimum. One of my students was wondering why I was stashing pretzels at my desk. I'm tired of eating all day and ready for this to let up. I'm hoping it does at some point!
GTKY what's the story behind your username? I'm on another "underground" running forum that was an offshoot when Runners World Online forums started to suck. My name here is a variation on what I use over there.
News developments: my NT scan is on February 3rd, I'll be 13 weeks and a half. I wish it were this week because I've heard the NT scan is between week 11 and 12.
anaberry I'm having my scan on the same day! I'll be 12 and a half weeks at that point, but when I spoke to my drs office they said they like to do it between 12w1d and 13w6d for accuracy, so you should be good to go:)
Symptoms: Boobs, I am now officially a 32 D, and don't want to waste on bras yet. Bras suck, and boobs spill everywhere, and apparently, mine will keep growing. Anyone have bra recommendations?
I think biblio is a bra expert (if I am remembering the signature she had on TB correctly!), but I have a couple of rec's too.
Once you get beyond 32D, it is nearly impossible to find anything in a store. (VS goes up to a 32DD, but they use a special form of vanity sizing and their 32DD is really like a 32D in any other brand...don't get me started on that.)
I use Nordstrom online and also Herroom.com is decent. If you know a brand you like (I like Wacoal for boring, supportive ones and Panache for supportive, cute ones), it is easy to order online. Well, also if you are confident you know the right size.
Thank you esgrunner for these nuggets of gold! Went to VS knowing I wouldn't find it and true enough.... Totally trying your recs! You just made me and my boobs so happy! And stephanie012 , thanks for letting me know! It helps me relax a bit Today's random: I have 6 hours of conferences today and I came to work braless because I haven't done laundry. I'm hoping I don't get hot enough to have to take off my suit top... Otherwise, me = fired
So proud to be on this board now with you annabananabomb! You are awesome - a superstar! I was sad when you checked out of the CB and one of the reasons I moved here was bc of you
Ok so my week. Long. I run corporate conferences for a job - in house - and ran a dinner forum on Thursday night - not bad, only about 55 people an it was at the Four Seasons, but it was a long night. Killed me. Yesterday I had my first headache and I still have it this morning. I don't think I drank enough water. I am leaving for Munich and London and Paris tomorrow to run a couple more of these dinner forums so I am excited for travel but hoping I feel ok. I'm only 8w4 days due Sept 1st but joined when my EDD was aug 28 and you are my homegirls...
Symptoms still are slight nausea all the time. Some bouts of extreme where I have to take deep breaths, but I don't generally throw up and I haven't yet and probably won't.
My name is something I thought up when I went online to find my husband I wanted something positive and full of light. He said he liked how it was an adverb.
Shoot I forget what the last question was bc I haven't figured out how to copy and paste on the tapatalk interface!
How was your week? It wasn't too bad. Just a regular week. Skipped out of a few things so I could stay home and rest. I tried some new bras, but I'm not to a C cup yet, I'm somewhere I between. I opted for some size L sports bras and they are working great.
News/developments: hmmmm. dr apt Monday. U/s Wednesday to check the little hematoma. Waiting for a call from the OBS clinic at the hospital. They don't get you in till 12 weeks. Told a few more friends last night which felt good
Symptoms: nausea has pretty well gone away and most of my food aversions as well. Boobs are a little sore and heavy. No longer squishy, feeling a little firm. Achy back. Cramps. I think I *finally* stopped spotting but I'm currently in bed feeling like crap with with some pain down there so ya.....brain is still freaking out.
GTKY: my sc is a jazz standard. There's a tune called Skylark...and I think the 12 is just random lol.
I am leaving for Munich and London and Paris tomorrow to run a couple more of these dinner forums so I am excited for travel but hoping I feel ok.
Whew, radiantly! Best of luck that your international travel goes well. It sounds like you are accustomed to it, so at least you know what you are getting into. Keep drinking that water!
How was your week? Sleep was a little better thanks to my new man Mr.Snoogle! And I only puked once at work. 12w5d today!
News/developments: We were so nervous about the NT scan yesterday, but baby looked very healthy and cute. It is hard to believe the kiddo is kicking and moving around and I'm blissfully unaware. The bloodwork is still pending. I'm also hoping my urine comes back UTI-free, but I have a bad feeling the last round of antibiotics didn't work.
Symptoms/cravings/body changes: I think I've gained 1-2 lbs and I cannot suck in the lower belly anymore. I will be on vacation in a week in the Carribean and I'm dreading trying on my swimsuits.
GTKY what's the story behind your username? basically a nickname that I picked 10 years ago on theknot. Not very original.

Hi all--I missed this thread last week, so hope you don't mind me jumping in for round #2. How was your week? Okay. The service I'm on at the hospital is quite a bit lighter than the one I was on for the past two weeks, so I got to sleep in until *gasp* 5:45!
News/developments: No news for now. First OB appointment on 1/27--hopefully that will make me feel less like I've imagined this entire situation. I'll be 9w2d, so I'm hoping they'll be able to hear the heartbeat or consider an US, but I'm afraid it's going to be too early, and the receptionist said my doctor typically doesn't do US until the 20 week AS.
Symptoms/cravings/body changes: Still a whole lot of nothing other than mildly sore boobs for symptoms. I'm hoping to get some kind of reassurance that there's actually something growing in there at my first appointment on Tuesday, so I can focus on being grateful about how easy this pregnancy has been, instead of freaking out because it doesn't feel real. I do have the weirdest aversion to meat--like eating chicken in soup or a hamburger is fine, but the idea of a chicken breast or a steak on a plate makes me want to vomit.
GTKY what's the story behind your username? Hmmm. No real story. I guess I have a pair. Who doesn't love purple galoshes?
I am leaving for Munich and London and Paris tomorrow to run a couple more of these dinner forums so I am excited for travel but hoping I feel ok.

Thanks... I luckily got approval to arrive in Munich on Monday even tho my event isn't till Wednesday, and the Paris trip is for fun (I have a friend who lives there and going to crash with her). I think I'll have tons of downtime to rest and the events are pretty much the least difficult out of possible events so I'm thinking it's going to be ok! But yea... water!!!
annabananabomb you're so sweet How was your week? - A little bit of a roller coaster, but it ended really well! Feeling optimistic and excited about this little babe. 12w4d today. News/developments: - Had our NT scan on Monday. I was SO nervous going in because of discovering a mmc at our last NT scan. Everything looked great. Baby's heartbeat is strong and it was squirming around so much, we even saw it suck it's thumb (hand?) and drinking fluid. Its so crazy that all that is going on inside me and I can't tell. Yesterday my doctor called back with the blood test results and said everything looked great. I'm feeling so relieved and trying not to worry anymore!
Symptoms/cravings/body changes: - Really bad headaches every second day or so - only coffee helps. A little bit of RLP. Some gagging still and feeling pretty full all the time. No body changes yet (I'm eagerly awaiting a little bump and some bigger boobs). GTKY what's the story behind your username? Just a nickname I've had for a while. B is my first initial.
I am leaving for Munich and London and Paris tomorrow to run a couple more of these dinner forums so I am excited for travel but hoping I feel ok.

Fauchon, get some macaroons for your baby... They're amazeballs! (Paris)
