Poor DD has Whooping Cough!

I am devastated! C has whooping cough and it it so miserable! She contracted it from Disneyland. She had no symptoms, except for the horrible coughing. We will never take a chance and stand in line next to anyone who is hacking ever again!
She has all of her vaccinations, but as you all know, the last one is not until age 4-6. They gave her antibiotics, but it does nothing to help the coughing fits. She coughs so hard she can't catch a breath and ends up throwing up sometimes.
It is so hard for her to eat because that is when the fits are worst. Morning is not much better. When she first wakes up the fits kick in. We haven't slept in days and I don't wish this on my worst enemy.
I just wanted to let you all know that the vaccine is only 80-90% effective, but I just can't imagine what the full blown version would be like if she didn't have the shots. I never thought in a million years that WE would be affected, but this just goes to show just how horribly contiguous this is. The sad part is that it can last up to 10 weeks!!
If you have any extra prayers to send our way, we would be so grateful. Hug your LOs tight and keep them away from anyone who is coughing in public.
