I've never actually tried grovia shells bc I despise grovia AIOs. How do they fit compared to like flips or blueberry?
The crotch is narrower than flips, and the elastic is super gentle. They don't make Js skin freak out. Which blueberry tho? They're not even comparable to coveralls, but I think few covers are.

Ok maybe I don't have blueberry covers anyway. I have one RAR, 2 nickis, and 2 flips. I find the RAR and the nickis similar and flip is a whole different ballgame.
The Grovia shell? isn't it weird with the liner part? I'm never sure what to think about that mesh-like layer on the inside.
Yea I was gonna ask this too. It's not wipe able. Do you reuse them anyway? I love them too but use the inserts.
And the lime green color is awesome too.
I reuse them once maybe twice if it wasn't a super wet diaper. The Grovia inserts have PUL backing so the mesh rarely gets wet. Also for some reason I think poop sprays off the mesh easier than like BG suede cloth.

good point about the grovia inserts having the backing. That makes it somehow less weird. But I'm never really sure how I feel about them. They seem super high tech, and I'm never sure it's necessary.
I've never used their snap in inserts, just trifolded prefolds or FST. I reuse the shells if it wasn't super wet which usually it isn't when we are home and I use my covers the most.
For the grovia fans - I had some but de stashed them because they seemed like they wouldn't fit long. J has some chunky thighs and waist. How are they for bigger babies/toddlers?
I have an old gro-baby shell with the mesh lining MH found at a baby consignment store LOL. I was thinking tonight it's going to become my back-up cover for the car because I'm now a flips convert.

The shells fit both my skinny kid (never thought she was going to hit 20 lbs) and my chunky kid (have you seen his belly?? Those thighs are no joke either) amazingly.

Yes this is our experience too on chunky-thighed G. I bought my first shell when G was just over a year & immediately regretted it. I thought for sure he'd outgrow the rise quickly. Surprisingly he still has room to grow & he's 31 pounds and a little over 3 feet tall.
The h&l is like touch tape. It's weird but sticky. And it stays nice if you use the laundry hooks every time. And the snaps are single row snaps like best bottoms which I usually hate, but with grovia the flaps lay nice and flat and look nice.
I'd probably opt for snaps over aplix just because I prefer snaps in general, but really both are quite nice in the brand.

I like how the hook and loop looks with the solid panel. It is super sticky too, but only to the diaper. Like it's smooth to the touch. You can also send them in for $5 to have them snap converted when it wears out. Oh, and I agree with SAK that you have to use the laundry tabs.
That said, I'm just buying snap now bc I've had like 5 converted already and I think I need to knock it off.
