Diastasis Recti- Pregnant (Belly trouble)

Hello ladies!! I was looking for some advice from any second (or more) time moms who have diastasis recti, or might know anything about it.

I have a 3 finger wide split in my abdominal, and I am 10 weeks pregnant. I find when I sleep, the split in my stomach and on my sides is VERY achy. The doctor said it was normal with my split, and I will show very early and have some aching.

My question is, how do you sleep comfortably? I have a snoogle pillow, but it just doesn't seem to help, and I feel like sleeping on my back is the only way everything feels support, but I know it's best to avoid sleeping on your back after 20 weeks. Should I be wearing a support belt early on, just for the extra help with my stomach?

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated, as I am VERY uncomfortable and it's still very early on

I do not have experience with this, but as far as pillows, I make sure my body pillow it tucked in between my belly & my bed so it isn't hanging &B my back doesn't have to try & hold it up. Your snoogle may already do this, but figured I'd comment. I hope you find something to help!

About sleeping on your back.. your body will tell you if you shouldn't or not. You will get uncomfortable before anything impacts your baby. If you are comfortable, don't worry about it. As long as your Dr isn't concerned.
