I was like umm... I'm not really bloated but I do have a flabby belly still from dd so that's great. Once that turns into a cute baby belly I'll be happy.
Ugh, I still have belly leftover from DD, and PCOS and thyroid weight gain doesn't help with that. A couple months ago a McDonald's employee assumed I was pregnant, and even kept insisting after I told her I wasn't. I kind of flipped out on her because I was having a really bad IF day, so it wasn't my proudest moment.
That's so inappropriate. I'm sorry. I had someone in my neighborhood tell me within the last month or so that I looked like I was getting close to having another one. This happened the same day a little girl asked me if I had a baby in my belly (but she was 4 so I didn't care), but a grown adult man. Come on. He should know better.

I wore stretchy pants to work today. I am bloated after I eat, all the time basically. But constipation isnt the issue for me, its just gas I think. I can easily poop 4 times a day right now.

I'm in the bloat boat with the rest of you. I just want to be far enough along to hear/see a heartbeat so I can just be "out" and wear maternity clothes.
Also, I ended up in the elevator with a co-worker (different department, but same company) after I had gained some weight from eating my feelings after my MC in Feb. She said "Oh, are you pregnant again???" I said "Nope!" and she said "Oh, just fat like me!" WTAF?!
Nobody has said anything this time... but, I'm sure they're starting to talk.
Lol! I hadn't seen the last panel in that before. That's great.
I just sent this to a coworker since we are suspicious of another girl in the office. (they dont know I am either) She is looking quite pregnant now, and he told me to ask her. I was saying No effing way, thats a douche move if she isnt. Its really the main topic of office gossip right now.

What!?!? No. No. No. No. No. What is wrong with people?

Luckily, I was on my way to the car... Where I immediately broke down into tears. Of course, I never told anyone IRL that she said that because I was so mortified.

This is exactly what I don't want to happen, all the whispering and gossip because I look pregnant but haven't told anyone. I'm going to become the Master of Disguise (or make a hilariously unsuccessful attempt anyway).
As mentioned in a previous post, I'm starting a new job on Monday and plan to keep the pregnancy super secret until the second trimester when I will try to carefully tell HR and my boss. As a result I gotta keep it all under wraps! Bring on the flowy dresses and oversized shirts - I've got a lot to hide!

if she is, she's doing a terrible disguise job, she's been wearing tight tops. I have been wearing loose tops, flowy ones etc. not that I ever really wear anything formfitting anyways in the office.

I don't know how big of a place you work in, but maybe she's told the boss and just kind of assumed everyone else would catch on?
I know for me personally, I work with a shit ton of people, and I don't plan to send out a mass announcement. I'll tell the people who need to know and let the others figure it out on their own. I'm fine with the whispers I guess as long as I'm already "out" to my boss and immediate co-workers.

not at far as I know. Her immediate coworkers dont know so I doubt she's said anything. And this girl is less than humble, so she'll be shouting from the rooftops. If shes waiting for a reason I understand, but at the same time if this is just spare weight, she gains in a very weird way.

Since you all are talking about hiding pregnancy and pregnancy whispers, I got a good one. My work is right around 42-45 employees maybe 10 are females. Last year word spread I was pregnant, I strategically told the front desk (after bosses of course) because she talks to everyone. I go out to lunch sometimes with one of the guys that no one really likes because he can be an ass. Well before I know it gossip has spread all thru the wood shop and graphics areas that he's my baby daddy because we go out to lunch and we went to the KC com-icon last year. When the guy I go out to lunch with told me I laughed so hard I cried and maybe peed a little. Then I felt bad and asked how he was taking it since he was on the other end of the rumor. I swear guys gossip more then women.

This is hilarious. I can't even imagine that kind of gossip happening at my office. We're a very small group, though.
I'm lucky in that the first trimester will end as school starts back up, so I won't have to hide anything for long.
I'm totally team stretchy pants at the moment. It's funny, I bought some shorts before I realized I was pregnant, and was PISSED when they didn't fit...hmm...hindsight...
I pulled out the maternity slacks today. More so bc I'm too tired to do laundry but also bc my stomach hurts from the sickness and bloat. Those pants felt wonderful.

I think bloat is what's going on right now? My belly is protruding and my pants are all terribly unflattering but I'm only 4 weeks 4 days, does it start this early?!? I never had bloat with my first pregnancy. I am hoping that my group of fit, early 20s colleagues will assume that their plump older colleague just gained a bit more weight. :-P

Also, for those who are team stretchy, you just wait!!!! Even after the baby is born (and possibly over a year after) you will still feel the same about those stretch pants. I still wear my maternity leggings. Dun cur!

I'm one day behind you and in the same boat. Didn't have this with DS either! But ugh. Pants being terribly unflattering is an understatement.
In the interest of full disclosure, I got stabby when I read the "I still have my 6 pack option"
I don't have and have never had a six pack - sorry for my twisted sense of humor.
Ha ha ha, at least I'm not alone, I do know women that have six packs and look like they swallowed a perfect little cantaloupe when they're 9 mos... I want to tie them to a chair and force feed them Burger King... is my jealousy showing?
