This is why I didn't buy the fucking what to expect book. Ignorance is bliss. As is medium rare steak.
That book sucks. It's chock full of anxiety-inducing information and worst case scenarios. I started to read it and had to fucking stop. Just eat the food and do the things. Have a drink every now and then. It's not a big deal.

3rd kid and my give a fucks has dramatically decreased since the my first. I still eat my eggs over medium, medium rare steak, sushi once or twice a month (I love living by the ocean) and I have had the occasional half a glass of wine starting when I hit the end of my 2nd tri. ....
But now I am worried about my brand new bed we bought a few months ago thanks to this thread. Wondering if I should buy a mattress protector. At least the seats in my X5 are leather so if my water breaks it won't get soaked up by the car. I carry a clean towel in my car always.
ETA My previous labors were induced so my water was broke for me when I got to the hospital. So I am in for some interesting thoughts since I want to avoid another induction.

It's also written incredibly annoying-ly. I think I read 2 chapters.
I'm thinking it's most likely I'm going to have a csection so I guess I'll start with broth and jello (that's what they gave me last time.) But then, all the wine. I haven't really avoided any foods so there's nothing I'm longing to eat.
