cookiesandwine - I know! I can't believe how fast its going this time around!!
He only wears the brace now at night. His foot is looking really good and his doctor wanted him to be able to focus on his gross motor skills now since the brace tends to inhibit those. He's definitely much happier now and really enjoying playing and eating his feet now.
Since he had been in the brace 24/7, his ankles are kind of weak, so we've been trying to work more on his standing and spending time playing in the jumperoo.
At this point, we just need to keep an eye on his foot to make sure he's still got a good range of motion/flexibility. He doesn't need to see the orthopedist now for 6 months which is a nice break from the every week we were going initially (for the casting) and then monthly. We do have to go back in 2 weeks though just to pick up the new boots for the brace since he's growing out of the old ones.
