Nearing the end: Tata Tuesday 7/7

Our numbers dwindle a little more each week. I've got weaning on the brain so if no one has any complaints can we talk about that?

1) How many sessions per day are you down to?
2) Are you (or LO) actively weaning? How is it going?
3) How much longer do you plan to nurse?

1) How many sessions per day are you down to?
He's mostly started STTN again, so we're down to just three: morning, after pick up, and bedtime. Last week he skipped after pick up because we had a friend in town and he was distracted.

2) Are you (or LO) actively weaning? How is it going?
He's leading it but I'm not objecting. The sessions are getting shorter and shorter. Last night I had to ask him to nurse because my boobs were so full.

3) How much longer do you plan to nurse?
Maybe another month or two, but we're about to start TTC and I don't want to nurse while pregnant. I can't imagine how hungry I would be!

We weaned about a week and a half ago, but I'll check in one last time! We were down to just mornings and sessions were getting shorter and more distracted.
I nursed for about a week after finding out I was pregnant and then decided it was time to stop. It was too much on me and since LO wasn't all that interested, it was time.
DH got in the mornings for the first 6 days so she did fine. When I got her, she clung to me and wouldn't even let me change her diaper for 15 minutes. But now we're doing okay and she just gets her sippy with milk and breakfast first thing.
Weaning was less eventful than I expected. Now for my 9 month "break" before we do it all over again!

We do am and pm. But I let her nurse all long weekend out of laziness and now my boobs are fuller. And now I'm pregnant. I have no plan of what to do.

I am currently distracting her if she asks any time other than the above 3. She finally just saying "mamack" for mama milk which is making it so hard to wean!

Usually just bedtime, but every now and then she will nurse a little bit at wake up. Saturday morning she nursed for a few minutes at 7am and then fell right back asleep until 8am in our bed. It was amazing.

2) Are you (or LO) actively weaning? How is it going?
LO still gets a bottle at wake up and bedtime, so she isn't getting much (if any) milk from me. I can tell at bedtime she is comfort sucking to fall asleep. I don't mind. It is so cute watching her fall asleep on the boob.

3) How much longer do you plan to nurse?
No plans to stop right now since it is only 5-10 minutes a day.

katka512 - this is us too. We weaned about 2 weeks ago, so this will be my last check-in. I'm glad that we kept this thread alive as long as we did - I'll miss it!

We weaned about 2 weeks ago. We went from am and pm to just pm for a few weeks. Then there were a few nights where DD stayed over my SIL and MIL's houses and I didn't pump to replace. The first time I was engorged and desperate for her to nurse the following night. The next time I wasn't uncomfortable at all, just full. Then I got sick and my supply tanked. I had to take some decongestants, which didn't help. We had one night where she didn't get much at all, followed by a night with no let-down, which I had to follow with a sippy of milk for her before bed. The next night we did "don't offer don't refuse" and she didn't ask again. My supply never recovered from being sick, so I didn't experience any fullness or engorgement after weaning (which I was worried about).

3) How much longer do you plan to nurse? We're done!

1. One session a day unless she specifically asks for more.

2. DD has been actively weaning since the end of first trimester. I'm ready for it to end. My nipples are extremely sensitive.

I'm late to this, but I'll chime in!

1. She nurses ~1x a day. Some days she doesn't nurse. If she nurses it's first thing in the morning (she'll point to our nursing chair before she wants to leave the room). I don't even know if my boobs are still producing milk or if the mrnings she nurses it's just for comfort?

2. We've been weaning for a few weeks now? I thought it was going to be over a few weeks ago when DH got her out of bed and she didn't ask to nurse. But then I got her out of bed and she wanted to nurse. But even some days when I get her up, she's not interested. So...I guess it's going. I feel our days are numbered.

3. See above. We'll do this morning nursing for as long as she wants (well....for the foreseeable future), but I feel it will probably end soon.

I've enjoyed the tata check ins! I know I've been bad about checking in lately, but I'll certainly pop on here when I can!!
