I have to do more than one to stay on top of it. I have to keep an eye on what DS brings to me bc instead of putting his clothes away he will just throw them back down to be washed again.
If I don't do at least 1 a day it gets out of control. When E was little and I was on maternity leave I did laundry constantly. Between cloth diapering and E being the spitup queen I think I did 5 loads one day.

I said other because really it depends on the week. Ideally I'd like to do one load a day, otherwise I just fall way behind. Some weeks though I just put it off and end up doing five or so loads within a day or two.
I do two or three loads most Saturdays and Sundays and one load a night at least a couple of times during the week. Really though it depends on the week and what we've been into.

Because DH has clothing issues so I do multiple loads a few times a week. You would swear I have 5 toddlers and 3 adults living here who constantly spill and change clothes. I did 5 loads on Friday and have 3 already thanks to DH. He sucks at doing laundry and always ruins clothes or breaks the washer so I'd rather do laundry a few times a week than have to buy new clothes or pay for a repairman constantly.

jtizzay I'm not sure how he managed to do it but he did to our old washer. It took over 3 hours to run a load he put in and loads were only taking 45 minutes before. I won't let him touch the new washer.

Our laundry situation would be one step away from a disaster if my H didn't do it most of the time. He probably does 4 loads a week and I do 2. I think laundry must be inherited on the Y chromosome in his family. His dad is the same way. They both are vacuumers, too! I kinda lucked out in that department.

I have no control over my laundry situation!! My hands are so full right now that I don't do laundry until I realize I'm almost out of clothes to wear!!

Lol. That's insane. I was thinking it may have been on purpose. My dh sucks at things he doesn't want to do

I lucked out with a man that cooks. I will clean clean clean everything if it means I don't have to prepare dinner every night. In fact, I'm usually asking him, "what's for dinner?? I'm huuunngry!"

This reminds me of everybody loves ramen! He purposely does things bad so his wife will take care of everything.

I do a load four days a week. Mine, Lo's, DHs, and sheets/towels. But some weeks like today, on the day I am supposed to do my laundry, my clean laundry from last week is still waiting to be put away. I'm a little concerned about what I wore last week
At least one load every day. One gets washed, and into the drier. The load from previous day (dry sitting in drier) gets folded and on a good day a load or two gets put up. I cannot stand a whole day of nothing but laundry so this is my best method.
We do all ours on the weekend, usually 3-4 loads. that's including sheets and towels. Both DH and I work on it depending on who is home. DD loves to push the basket from the laundry room into the living room. She is such a great help when she is not playing with the folded laundry!
I asked DH. We do an average of a load each day. But the majority he does on weekends. He also loads the dishes. I empty. And I wash the pots/pans. He vacuums the living/dining/kitchen and I steam mop. And we take turns vacuuming the bedrooms. I generally clean the bathrooms and he takes care of the litter box. Cleaning sucks. I'm glad DH and I tag team!!

Jealous!
Laundry gets done a few times a week, partly because I get lazy. I'll throw a load in but forget about it until morning when it goes in the dryer. My mom also does laundry when she's up taking care of Jillian. I got a new dryer a couple months ago and oh my goodness, newer dryers rock! I love setting it to auto dry and knowing it'll be dry when the cycle ends. It was always hit or miss with my last one and laundry took forever.

We have one of those too! So worth it to never go down to a still wet load of clothes.

I sometimes joke that the ultimate luxury for me would be to have two washers and dryers because I tend to end up doing like 4 loads of laundry in one day.
We did just get a new washer and dryer and they are GIANT! They are so big that we've gone from doing like 6 loads a week to 4.
DH is a great help with laundry. I don't mind starting the washer but I am only okay at folding and I am HORRIBLE at putting laundry (or clean dishes) away.
