Thanks laides!!! bantyrooster there weren't many more details lol. Contractions starting getting to the can't walk or talk through them point as we checked in, by the time I got settled in the room they were fast and furious. His heartbeat was slowing down a little and the doctor asked for a scalp monitor (don't remember what that's called) and then was like ok nevermind because he's coming now! They gave me an oxygen mask and I pushed like a mad woman. H was surprised that I screamed this time, but apparently that's just what happens when you push out a 9.11 baby with no meds! So don't be too jealous heatherbee Unfortunately I lost a lot of blood again (did that with Sadie too) and they had to manually deliver the placenta again, ugh the worst. So I'm feeling pretty weak still and lightheaded when I stand, but I was able to take a shower on my own and we got moved into a postpartum room.
He had an ultrasound and and echo on his heart today because they detected a slight murmur when they pedi was in today. He said it's very common and usually fixes itself on its own, if that's what it really is. So we're still waiting to hear back those test results.
Oh his name is Lucas Joseph, and we're calling him Luke. Henry was our other pick but he just seemed more like a Luke to us.
I love his name. For being so difficult and not coming early I'm happy you had a quick delivery. Hope you are enjoying all the new baby snuggles, I miss those!
