megsw85 Nutpunch for your H. Did the lipstick come out of the carpet? I think you should have made your H clean it. Natural consequences? If it works for toddlers maybe it will work for H's?
kames12 Nutpunch for your FIL. The whole I'm a grandparent so I can do anything I want and you have to deal with the consequences thing drives me batty.

Me too! His parents just don't think. Some of the stuff he's doing will be fine once DS knows better and can understand things better but not at 2 or even under 7. I have no issue being the bitch and putting my foot down since DH won't say anything. It makes me want to spend less and less time with them.
The FFFC has moved on to cake talk so I'll throw this in here.
I'm really sorry if I made anyone feel badly when I posted about my c-section. sympkin and anyone else. I know everyone has had a different experience/recovery and some ladies really did not want one and hated it. I hope you don't think I was making light of your experiences. That wasn't my intention at all.
Has anyone done invisalign? I'm thinking about it.
I wanted to do it a while back but my old ins didnt cover it at all. I havent checked with my new ins but my new ins is worse than my old ins so im not hopeful. My dentist said that he thought that id be a good candidate for it. The only thing is that he recommended me getting my wisdom teeth out first. My wisdom teeth are still under the gum but they arent moving up, theyre moving toward my other teeth. Its not worth straightening them if my wisdom teeth may push them out of whack. Know what i mean?
Rambling on.... I need to remove my wisdom teeth eventually bc im pretty sure im noticing a shfit in my bottom front teeth.
I know right?! Not like we needed this huge Elmo. Who wouldve thought that J would actually win!? It was that game where you throw rings onto the necks of bottles but the rings barely fit. Everyone was shocked that he won. Even the kid working the game said they only have 2 or 3 winners a day and hes never seen someone his age win.
I'm not surprised - that kid is the next Michael Jordan, I told you when I saw him shooting the basketball at my house!

Ok good. Im so used to being on here and i feel like its crappy not to love someones pic of their kid!
I should say that i will just say "my friend" when referring to you gals if its someone that doesnt know that i use the board. If its one of my closer friends (or family) that knows about the board then I refer to you gals the other way.
Good morning! I think we are going to hang out at the beach and pool all day. We are going to attempt to get Miss A to wear her puddle jumper. She has refused so far this summer but I saw some kids at the pool wearing them last night so maybe that will help.
I need to stay off Dr. Google researching miscarriage stats, betas, progesterone, symptoms, etc. It only making me crazy and I know that but I can't make myself stop.
The boys rooms have been silent for over 2 hours now. G just walked down as we were finishing a movie, stuck his head in the den (like a fucking ninja and gave me a heart attack) and said "I need duck tape for my invention."
So what was he making?
Honestly I don't even know. He was so delirious, and I was pissed when I went up there because he had snagged all the goodie bag glow sticks for the party and cracked them. His whole room was glowing. He had all 10 connected but he lost the little connector for the last stick and wanted to tape it. Something about stars for his solar system (he has a large solar system mobile in his room). He's so clever and creative but he's goig to be the death of me!

I can't help but laugh. He definitely keeps you on your toes. Any word on if you can get him into kindergarten early?

Morning ladies. I wish I could bring A into our friends' bedroom right now bc they give me crap about going to bed (last night it was 2:30 when I came upstairs) but as predicted A woke up at 7 even though we let her stay up later. I do that she had some milk and a little cough medicine because she's been coughing a lot last night and slept until 9:25! Thank God bc I don't see any signs of H awaking from the dead which is what his snoring sounds like!

I am currently failing at solo Sunday parenting. I wish DS would understand how difficult it is to keep them quiet so their dad can sleep. What am I supposed to do? Toss em in the backyard from when they wake up till noon?

Ladies, any recommendations for cough medicine for LOs now that they are 2 and can have things other than zarbees? A has a dry cough that sounds like her throat has to be hurting and she cusses after she coughs
I took DD to REI to return the tent we don't want. She was awesome for the first half and then a tiny terrorist for the second half. Grabbing stuff off shelves and running away dropping it in random places. DH owes me BIG.
I feel like 18m - 3 years old they are like the little people in the sour patch kids commercials.
When I order the kids personalized bday shirts and stuff (like when I do K's backpack) I *only* do initials instead of names so randos walking by don't know their names so they can wear the shirts wherever whenever. My other mom friend thought that was weird and I was paranoid.
Eta- "like" if you agree or quote to tell me I'm nutso.
I'm the farthest from paranoid ever. I wouldn't think twice about getting her name in something if I did that, but I'm not really a fan of initials or names on things in general. She got a bag for her birthday that had an M on it. That's all she's got.
Did I mention that E's first canine is making it's appearance? Explains the hand chewing and raw chin that showed up a few days ago. And the general random fussiness the last few nights.
Also is he the last one to get canines? I know germaphobe has a late teether.
M finally has a canine breaking through. She was a late teether since day one. But one is finally making an appearance.
Also, H told me last night that he wants to buy into the family cottage. My aunt and uncle are looking to sell their share. Ultimately, we'd end up owning it with one of my cousins, which would be fine. It was originally my grandparents and I would be so happy to have it for my kids.
That sounds like an awesome idea!
I will be in the same situation in the future with the beach house. Right now its my mom and my aunts. In the future it will go to me my 2 cousins.
I wouldnt put Js full name on anything. Even before having him i heard that it wasnt a good idea. It makes it a lot easier for strangers to convince them to go with them. "Hey (insert full name here), your mommy said that i should pick you up yada yada... Or your mom had to go and she told me to bring you home...etc" Innocent kid doesnt realize that the stranger only knows his or her name because its right there on his/her shirt/bag/towel etc.

I had the worst headache last night and as soon as I put M to bed, I laid down in bed and was asleep by 8:50! I was up about 7:15 this morning and no headache!
Thanks mcbush for letting me know about the giveaway. I'll be donating some chocolate later this year. Apparently they have had an overwhelming amount of people wanting to donate items.

This. I meant to say something last night but got distracted. I never see everything on FB!
