DB went from taking 3-hr naps during the day to barely making it an hour. And of course DH is home today and keeps saying "where are these epic naps you claim he takes?" He had a crappy night sleep too, so I'm hoping it's just temporary.
Same here. He slept great yesterday and horrible since last night. I feel like we're backtracking

First time I tried my pre-pregnancy jeans on today and boom! Back into them. Pity about the pot belly that still sticks out over the top. Working on getting some abs back (not sure how other than recovery shorts and general activity). Any tips?

Same here! I have my appt a week on the 29th, but I hit 6 weeks this Friday and will resume some more "strenuous"exercise. Lifting, running (okay, jogging), and if the stars align, riding the horses.
There's a reason I have so many protein bars around sometimes that's all I can get down between feedings and naps (my naps...). Sometimes I don't have more than a few minutes to change him, feed him, change him again (half the time) and do a bathroom run for me before I feel like it starts all over...
For those of you pumping, when did you start? N is 3 weeks old and I was thinking of trying to add a pumping session in the am. I don't go back to work until Nov but would like a stash so I can eventually leave him with DH or my sister.
It's best to wait until after the 3 week growth spurt settles down to begin pumping, about once a day, usually first thing in the am when supply tends to be highest works best for most moms. Then once that gets working well, build your stash slow and steady and intro a bottle. if you give a bottle, pump to replace that milk.
LO is almost 6 wks old and I have yet to wake up even the least bit engorged. Probably because he eats every three hrs all night, and barely makes 2 hrs during the day. Little oinker
shahoi I'm so sorry she is uncomfortable. M has trouble sometimes also and I noticed that she goes much easier if I undo her diaper and lift her legs (leave the diaper under her to catch the poop). Maybe give it a try if you haven't already.
Oh yes! I learned that lesson accidentally when I got a poo shower the other night! Especially after I touch her bum with the cold wipe (it's winter here). Glad it worked itself out shahoi.
I know we've talked baby apps to death, but now that we're actually using them, I'd like to find one that's more inclusive if it exists. Does anyone use an app that tracks feeding, diaper changes, growth and tummy time? I can download an extra app for tummy time if necessary, but if there's one that does everything that would be great.

We use Mammababy. It tracks everything but tummy time. They have a 7 day free trial, and it's $4 after that. I don't usually like to pay for apps, but I really like this one because it's sync-able. MH has it on his phone too and can record stuff when I'm not around.

This is where I'm at too. I still wear my maternity jeans just cuz I can't stand the little roll I get around the top of my regular jeans. Other than that I'm back in my old clothes, which is nice! I'm also looking for ab workouts to do once I get cleared but I know that lots of exercise and healthy eating are usually the main components. My goal is to be in my jeans by Sept. Walking every day for now and looking forward to kicking it up a notch soon!

I use FeedBaby and it tracks all of that (minus tummy time). It also tracks sleep, pumping, and medications. It also makes up little "reports" for you if you want a snap shot of certain things...I like the feeding report to see the total amt of time baby has been hooked to the boob all day and the average of that week;)
I also want to share the awesome that is the widget page my husband set up on my phone for FeedBaby. Way easy to use. My phone is a Droid if that matters.

We use BabyConnect. It was $4.99 but syncs between iOS and Android. It also has a free web access for babysitters to access if you're interested in them posting things. It tracks feeding, diapers, appointments, growth, and a multitude of activities including tummy time.
