Another crappy sleeper here. He sleeps 10 to 12 hours per night. (Sometimes countless wake ups) As for naps, lucky if I get him down for 30 to 40 minutes. Some days he skips his nap all together
I'm genuinely curious about those with crappy sleepers. I am so sorry to hear that you have to go through that.
When they are having these multiple wake ups how are you handling them? Is it a complete wake up, out of the crib, start the bedtime process all over again? Are these little ones still inconsolable if left unattended when they wake up?

Depending on the time of night, I have two different approaches. I let him nurse once at night, but it has to be after 3/4ish am. So he usually has one wake-up before then, I just go in, tell him it's time to go back to sleep, sit with him for five minutes-ish, and generally that works. When he wakes up after 3/4 (generally once), I just nurse him for five-ish minutes and he's back out like a light. And he never leaves his bed. Veeeeeery rarely he'll ask to use the potty (which we keep a little one in his room, so he does that in total darkness but then go straight back to bed.
LO is a cry till he pukes kind of kid, so I don't like to let him get worked up. Whether or I send in DH or go in myself for the non-nursing feeds - it doesn't make a difference, but since he's puke-prone, I'm still hesitant to let him CIO.

Depends on the night. He's either brought into our room and bed. Or we just snuggle with him and he falls back asleep.
I'm way late but thought I'd toss in my two cents. Gia goes to bed at 9 or 9:30pm and is up anywhere from 7am-9am.When she's up at 7 she plays in her crib until 8 or 830.Sometimes she STTN,other times we'll get a few wakeups but she generally goes back down easily. Lately it's been a little rough.
For naps we usually put her down between 12 and 1 PM based on when she woke up and how tired she seems. Her naps are mostly 45 minutes to an hour but sometimes as short as a half hour. It's extremely rare for her to sleep longer than an hour. For both naps and nighttime it takes her about 20 minutes of rolling around before she's out.

She usually sleeps 12-13 hours at night. 7:30 to between 7:30 and 8:30 typically. She doesn't nap. Sometimes she STTN but my husband gets up at early for work and he is inherently noisy so he usually brings her to me around 5:30 when she wakes up and then she sleeps with me. I don't mind a bit to be honest.
Sometimes she will fall asleep in the car and then won't fall asleep until close to 10:00 that night.

Before potty training we let her cio. If I went in she would not go back to sleep. Then she started sleeping thru the night...now with potty training if she gets up I don't talk to her until shes done and quietly say go back to bed. That works as long as it's before 530 otherwise she's up for the day. Side note : bed time this week has been bad. She will cry for me...last night it was a 2 hour fit which ended up with her in our bed till she fell asleep then I moved her...not sure why the change...
