taberbtb, i know what you mean with the paci dilemma. Mine suddenly learned how to put it in himself after we took it away looked at me like 'HAH! So there woman!'
mumomma13 I swear babies are contagious. Two friends of mine just had their little squishes and I got so broody I felt like a chicken with an egg.

We had a nice family day today. I switched work days with DH and then his work called and cancelled his shift- yay!!!! We went to have Jake's photos done. despite being without a nap (I swear he senses I need him to nap so he then refuses) and him learning to suck his lower lip just this morning and therefore being obsessed with it, the photographer did a good job and still got us some nice photos. They're his first "real" photos I totally AW'd them in the photo thread. Good timing I hope everyone's doing well!

And ticket is sorted! Apparently they kept cancelling the transaction on their end because it was fully paid for the adult tickets. Which, ok, good to know that there's something in place to minimize double charges or weird things, but when you can't book and pay for an infant in lap online and therefore have to call and add on prior to check in , there should be something that flags that charge as a 'yes, put this through'. Anyway, done and dusted.

The toddler is down for a nap and I fed the baby just so I could have quiet for a few minutes.

It was totally hot in my house (80) and I kept turning the air down and it kept not kicking on. My kids are naturally hot like their dad so they're super cranky if it's above 75. I finally realized that the thermostat was on heat. How on earth did that happen?! It's over 100 outside.

The lack of love for my desperate attempt at AWing our studio photos made me much sadder than i should be. Now where is AF and why is she messing with my head? Better yet, where is the wine and who is hiding my chocolate???

I'm back to not working. It was a great 6 days of work. Back to spending time with baby. Yay!

I have knee surgery tomorrow. Boo!

DS got shots yesterday and was up like every 1/2 hour last night. Boo!

DD left, for the first time, out of state with the village idiot and chick with a dick for a "vacation." She was in tears & didn't want to go. I can't do anything about it because the court order states he gets one week a year. I'm dying & already counting down. Boo!

Treating myself to a mani/pedi tonight since it will be a while before I can have another. Yay!

I usually lose weight with knee surgery. Hopefully this last 10 pounds will "go away." Yay! (Wishful thinking)

Ugh I don't know what's up with me but it's 1am and Im sitting downstairs because the scratching noise from the hornets in their nest was keeping me up. Somehow I got in to this paranoid loop that they were going to scratch right through the wall into our bedroom and hurt DS. If the burrowed this far who says they won't burrow into the house?! I didn't know wasps etc could scratch into bricks, and I didn't realise how fast they could do it that the noise is now suddenly twice as bad as just last night. Stupid exterminators can't come until Saturday morning. I don't know why I'm being so paranoid (and hilariously emotional) at the moment. It's really unlike me!

emilyz320 I got DD to drop a MOTN feeding by offering the paci first. She just fell right back to sleep. If she's really hungry she'll just spit it out.
taberbtb My DD frequently naps holding her paci too. And sometimes she wants to suck on both the paci and her fingers at the same time, lol

Mom2Ms I hope knee surgery goes well. And that you DD isn't too miserable on her trip.

We cleaned the house today. It took all day including a whole family nap in the afternoon. Apparently DD gets tired just watching her parents work

Ugh that just made my skin crawl!! DD is currently screaming her little head off while dh is trying to put her to sleep. She won't even let us put her down. We've been trying for 40 minutes. Usually she's asleep in 15 or so minutes or less ? I gave her prune juice around 5:30 I really hope it's not her tummy.

Happy Hump Day ladies.. sorry I'm late, had tons of running around to do. Sending sleepy baby dust to all those who need it. Preparing for DSD1's bday party. She also wants people to donate a canned good for the food bank. So we will see.
Exciting news: got a call for an interview and it's PT but the perfect position. I would have to do any paralegal work but I'd be working in a law office and it pays enough that I can pay for daycare and my health insurance.. it doesn't offer benefits. And I would only have to pump DD two bottles and then she could nurse the remainder of the day. I hope and pray I get it. As much as I don't want to go back to work we need the money and this is the perfect compromise. There is one issue. We are supposed to be going on vacation in August so do I say I can start after that date because of vacation or say I can start right away and then inform them about vacation? Must go consult professor Google for interview tips.Lol.

Id tell them about the vacation. Then if they need you quicker the can work around it, but if they don't you can start after.

Missed this original post but I love me some Andrew McMahon. (He was my high school rock star crush) Fantastic song. The whole album is pretty good.
