Just got back from my run and it was awesome! I really pushed up the distance and time, and I ran past a grandma, daughter and teenage granddaughter jogging/walking the other direction and the grandma said "atta' girl!" I saw them again on my return and they all said "good job! Still going!" I've had really crappy runs lately, so this was the boost I needed! I'm thinking we'll skip story time today. DS woke up super early so he'll need a nap right at the start time, plus I would have to shower and be out the door in 35 minutes. Not likely.
Now that I am realizing that we will likely be in our apartment for almost another year and a half rather than just 5 months I am starting to obsess over making it more comfortable. De-cluttering needs to happen ASAP and then I want to rearrange and/or remove some of the furniture and reorganize the closets. I want to hang pictures and decorations that we were holding off on "because we weren't going to be here much longer anyway". We also need to create a better play space for DD and a usable desk/work area for DH and I. There's so much that I really feel needs to be done but I'm actually feeling really good about it.

Today is my Friday. Tomorrow I fly to Austin for a girls weekend (ask me if I am packed? no. ask me if I want to leave my baby? no.)
Still haven't heard back from the seller regarding our repair request. Ugh, it is slowly killing me.
Girls weekend sounds so fun! My BFF is having her bachelorette party in a month, and I really keep thinking I want to go...in theory. They are doing a spa day, 4-course dinner, sleepover and then brunch. Heaven, except I'd be away from DS for 2 full days and nothing sounds like it would ruin a spa day like pumping. Also, $$. I decided if I got the money in on a couple of my cases I've been waiting on, I'd splurge. ETA: words and grammar
I am kind of enjoying work this week. Things are picking up and I am feeling "engaged" in things again for the firs time in a long time. Its just been such an awkward time and nothing but change and transition for the last year or so, and I am happy to have some direction again!
ON the down side, I have been way busy and not much time to PB

I hear you. I was so worked up last night because I need to work more to keep up with my cases, but SIL isn't available more hours and I don't want to work on the weekends (but I have been and probably will). I'm stressed because we have so much else going on that this is just a terrible time to start my own practice, but I LOVE my work and am so fulfilled the 8-12 hours I work. I think in a perfect world, SIL would quit her other job and be on call for me (right?) so I could work more like 20-25 hours. DH and I decided now is not the time to try to find another nanny, so instead I'm going to not take on many new cases until we get the house-hunting done.
MrsTinMKE, glad you are feeling like work is going better. It is good to feel productive and it makes the day go by so much faster. But boo to being too busy. I have felt that way recently too.

If you can afford it definitely go! I was so nervous to leave DS for 2 days for my BFFs wedding/bachelorette festivities but it was so much fun and he was perfectly fine. I would have regretted missing out on her big events if I didn't go. As for pumping, it wasn't too bad. I mostly did it in the car to and from the hotels, bars, etc.

Hey quiet ladies! I was starving so I stopped by the snack cart to buy some fruit snacks. Apparently you can't use your credit card for any purchases under $1. So I haaaaaddd to buy a s'mores bar too. Damn!
Funny story. Last night one of those huge horrible thousand legger bugs appeared in our living room. DH saw it first and promptly alerted me to it by pointing and shouting "Ahhh! There's a thing!" To which I jumped up onto the chair and said "Eww! Get it! Get it!" And then, upon realizing DD was playing on the floor I shouted "Oh no! Don't let it get her!" So DH ran over and picked up the kid and told me to get the bug. But I was barefoot and all that was around were DD's toys so I just started dancing around saying "What do I do! DH get RID OF IT!!" But he wouldn't because he had DD and so he said I had to do it. So I freaked out some more, jumping up and down as I looked for something to hit it with while it continued running around the room. Then DH was like "Don't let it get away!" And finally I picked up one of DD's books and threw it at the bug and legit screamed and ran away. Then DD started crying and DH started cracking up cause the whole situation was so overly dramatic.
This all happened in under a minute, it was all so pathetic lol. DH thought it was hilarious, and it was, but still awful! Stupid bug!

Question for you notches. When I get home from work, I run around the house pantsless half of the time. Ok. 3/4 of the time. What age do I have to start wearing pants to not damage DS???

I'm wondering about this too but mostly because DH likes to hang out in just his underwear most of the time. I figure we have another year or so before it's a big deal, but I don't really know.

I feel like some of the STMs said that around 18 months-2.5 years they start asking a lot of questions and it's easier to just not be naked. Given the choice, I'd be naked always, so I'm not looking forward to that.

Maybe when he starts asking about why you don't have pants on or refuses to wear pants because he wants to be like mommy.
K and I have a busy day today. We are driving up to visit my mom, stopping by my armory (National Guard) to sign a few things, and then getting her 9 month photos taken. K is 9.5 months but better late than never.
