Also. MrsTinMKE - what the hell does it say? Hate 1715?!?! Is he a history buff? Pissed about something in the past? Nothing crazy happened that year, did it?
I truly don't think that him falling asleep in your arms will create a tough habit to break. You bringing him to your room some nights MIGHT create a problem. Some nights he might be totally exhausted and just sleep all night in bed but whenever he wants, he can wake up, cry, and you'll bring him to your room.
If co-sleeping doesn't bother you then by all means keep doing it! I'm not saying to stop. Just saying that you are stressing the wrong behavior
FWIW, I let both my kids fall asleep while eating then put them in bed and so far with my toddler that has NOT been a problem. As my son got older, he was much more active before bed and wouldn't fall asleep after his bottle so I would put him to bed anyways and he would mess around for up to an hour before falling asleep! There are nights DD does that too. She rarely falls asleep while drinking her bottle but she used to.
I guess I never thought of it that way but it makes way more sense. I don't mind co sleeping with him but I also don't want him to get too attached to it. Some nights when he wakes up DH will go in there and pat his butt and he will go back to sleep in his crib. If I go in there it's game over and he'll never go back to sleep. But most of the time DH is too out of it to know what he's doing and just ends up waking him up completely which is how he ends up in our bed.
I hear stories of friends who have 4 and 5 yr olds in their bed and if that works for them I'm not judging but I don't want that. About once every 1-2 months our toddler would have a string of 3-4 horrible nights in a row (prob around the developmental milestones) and he would be up for hours in the middle of the night. On those nights we brought him to bed to survive. Once he could talk he would start asking to come to our bed so we stopped cold turkey
Also, hi! We had a busy day of more banks, then looked at 4 houses. Nothing was "the one" so now we are evaluating compromises and budget. I did really like one, but it would be the most work to update (needs all new kitchen appliances) and DH liked one that only had 2 bedrooms that I think just isn't enough room.
If you plan to stay in the house long term I would think a two bedroom may not be the best option. It's nice having a 3rd room for guests or an office. In the house we sold we used the 3rd bedroom as a "man cave" because I have no desire to sit and watch H play video games.
El oh el. We just went in to wake dd up from her nap and found her asleep sitting up with her forehead resting on the mattress between her legs. Poor thing! Still funny.
This is whole situation is crazy. And sad. Your family never ceases to amaze me.

Can't pick your family.
My 41 year old aunt found out she was 7.5 months pregnant at the end of June. Two weeks later she delivered in her bathroom because she thought she had to poop. Straight up TLC channel style.

Totally. He was 5lb 6oz and only needed the billi light for the first couple hours. We had her baby shower last weekend and she brought him. First it was in a bar and second it was a game of pass the baby around. Total pearl clutching, but he seems to be a healthy baby.
