My Isaac is here! Born around 12:30 am this morning. He's perfect. At 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 20 inches long, he looks like a 40 weeker (although he's grunty and they're monitoring that). They inspected the placenta after delivery and found the site of a very minor abruption, so we made the right choice by inducing now. Abruptions can get worse.
I'm in recovery now, snuggling my boy skin to skin. The roughest labor I've had by far, but so very worth it. So in love!!
ETA thanks so much everyone for your support. It meant so much to me. Love you guys.
Congratulations! I'm glad they finally made a decision and that it was the right one (and my word, if that boy had hung around for another few weeks, he'd have been massive!). Enjoy the squishy cuddles!
Yay! Welcome to the world, little Isaac! Glad you're doing so well.
Isaac is one of my favorite boys' names. We were going to name our first one Isaac, but the name was "taken" by some of our best friends who were pregnant at the same time. Now he's our son's best friend
Hope to hear more about your birth story when you have time. Enjoy your well earned cuddles!
