Hi! Driving home from a birthday party. The kids has a blast with their cousins and are passed out in the car. Looking forward t relaxing on the couch with DH once we get home.
I've decided to wean the baby and just go to formula and I feel like a billion pounds of stress have been lifted from me.
I was so worried about his weight gain and he was sleeping horribly. Since we started adding formula in he's happier, sleeping great, and I swear looks chubbier. I guess I was starving him before.
I just went through this last month. The stress relief greatly outweighed the sads.

I'm killing this bottle of framboise. Dinner is on and hoping DD feels well enough to eat. She's been tired and super gassy with no appetite all day. And with every burp and grimace I'm afraid it will be followed by...something worse. The household puke threat level is elevated to orange.
You know what happened tonight? DD was just inconsolable. Spent about 45 minutes screaming and DH and I are running around like chicken with our head cut off. "Give her tylenol!" "Is she hungry?" "Do you think my supply is low or something?". So much tension. Suddenly DS was like "I play with Poppy?" so I'm like "fuck it, go for it kid". And I swear, within a minute she was laughing an cooing at him like nothing was ever wrong with her.
What the hell? I guess we'll just have to hand her off to the two year old more often.
That is so adorable! I'm glad it helped her My DS is like this with his big brother too. Nobody can put a smile on his face the way his brother can!
I love when DH does bedtime. He reads Reese her books but mixes up all the words in it. So I hear her yell at him and correct them. The best was when he read the word "cocoon" in her Hungry Caterpillar book and she goes: "IT IS A CHRYSALIS"
That drives me nuts. I always "read" it as chrysalis bc science. And then DS1 is saying, "That word ends with 'n'! It's not 'chrysalis!" :sigh:
Guise, after the randoms thread today I decided to pop my Chipotle cherry.
I wanted to be sceptical. But then I saw the onions being chopped for the pico. I wanted my heart to remain hard, and then I saw the size of my burrito. I tried to maintain composure when they laid a huge amount of delicious sour cream on in and the burrito started steaming.
Then I hefted the bag as I walked away after spending less than eight dollars.
Then I had a bite. Then five more messy bites very rapidly in succession.
I'm in love, and I don't care who knows it. Chipotle is my sexy lover as of now.
numbbears, that was a really good idea. There's a OUAC and a Half-price books close to my office, so I am going to start checking those for the shows he likes. All of his favorites are from my childhood and before.
I made homemade play doh today. It's so awesome and the website review said it lasts at least 9 months. It took about 10 minutes to make three colors and B and I had a really good time using my cookie decorating kit with the play doh.
I'm tempted to bust it out now so I can play undisturbed.
Homemade play dough is the best bc it lasts forever. Even if it accidentally gets left out, it takes MUCH longer to dry out than commercial play dough. I love it.
Since I was a lurker, I know this has already previously been discussed over at the dump, but I'm obsessed with getting this puzzle. Each piece a solid color. Swoon!
