I'm alive! Just been really busy and trying to "phone" less. also been trying to help DH make a music video and finish his album so computer time on that outside of work is kind of maxing me out! I need this album done!!! (And you all need to buy it and like throw your bras at him on stage so he can get over this mid life "I need to be a rock star" moment!!! Haha).
You can add me to the denial about depression club. I guess i should go talk to someone.
You? Or your H? I'm sorry to hear one of you is struggling. The first few years of these kiddo's lives are incredibly tough on everyone, in slightly different ways and at different times.
I'm going to combine my two thoughts into one post, since both thoughts are about the two of you.
1. I agree with everydayimshuffling, cl8badb. I also think that if you want to talk with someone, DO IT. I'm a lazybones and need to set up an appointment with a therapist. I really need it. And you know we're here for you.
2. Shuffling, I remember when cl8badb mentioned why putting down drowsy is a good idea. Maybe O falls asleep, is so comfy, and then wakes up in a strange place (crib). That's like going to bed in your bed, and waking up in the front yard. It definitely doesn't help your struggles, but it might be one of the results. We did sleep training just a bit earlier than I wanted. G was just over 6 months (so older than O), but he was just barely over 5 months adjusted. /anecdote.
We arrived at our second beach vacation last night. It's easier to be distracted when there are 25 people around. 4 more days though. I'm just so ready to know.

stargazer763 I think that bit being able to put him down drowsy is definitely part of the issue. Although I wish he were a bit older, I think tonight is night 1 of sleep training in our house. We will use a modified Ferber like we did with K. We just never extended the check times longer than 5 minutes. Flame away. I am just feeling totally defeated and out of any other options. My H and I are zombies. We both have jobs where we cannot continue to function at this level of exhaustion and there could be serious consequences. If I was still home I could keep this going for longer but that's not an option. Our marriage is in a very very tough place and I am so foggy all the time that I'm having a hard time concentrating and remembering basic information. K needs us to be "on" too and spending lots of time working on her words. We all need some sleep. And we can't wait months for it.
Gah. That turned in to a vent. Sorry, I guess I needed to just get that out.

pitchslap I hear you on the bites. We were at a friends' house last night, and I got BIT. I used the California Baby bug spray, and that did nothing. By the time I switched to a poison one (we just call bug spray with Deet poison, even though it works), I already had at least 5 bites. Fun times.
On the upside, I got to taste bear last night. Not even joking.

We enjoy live music, let me know when he's playing locally and DH and I can head over. Bras will be kept on, however, these girls are too big to go without!
Well.... No more puke but he's definitely not his normal chipper self. He took down some soup and crackers and requested I change his diaper, put him in "nappy" clothes and watch an episode of Mickey. MH attempted to put him down for his nap and he screamed "daddy no! Move daddy! Bye bye daddy!!!" Apparently kids really do just want mommy when they are sick!

workinit Aw, poor D! Only mama will do hope he has a great nap and wakes up a new guy. I would love to put on my nappy clothes and chill right now too!

Bear? Seriously? Did it taste like chicken?
Scout's honor, it was bear. A friend of DH's from work met us at mutual friends' house last night. Smoked buck, fawn, bear, and duck.
Mama had a very Paleo dinner last night. Should I have put a trigger warning for the veggie eaters? I'm being silly here, but seriously, it was yummy.

majwv8, you look so cute! Seriously, I just dropped a good $70 at Children's place: I can't get anything for myself. But now I really want to jump on this swing dress bandwagon.
DD requested nap immediately after lunch, so I got her all tucked in, only to leave and come back an hour later to DH reporting she was still awake. So I went into her room and took away the three random items she had been fooling around with. Cue the screaming tears and tantrum. But now she's asleep. Worth it?

Me. I think im in denial about it. I see commercials about depression and always feel like they describe me. I often feel unmotivated etc.
