Re viewing distractions, consider an HBO GO/HBO Now account (can't remember which you want). There are definitely things with watching there, including all of Sex and the City. You can get a free trial for a month, too.
We are watching The Tudors on Prime and up next is season two of Boardwalk Empire. We also really liked Lark Rise to Candleford. A lot of the actors are in other Masterpiece Classics.
Are there any other projects you can work on? Knitting or Crochet?
Fun fact- my friend's rental home was one of the sets of Boardwalk

Oh, no, Naria! How unfair is that?!
I hope you get well very soon.
Here is a run down of my latest picks (excluding the ones people probably suggested 10 times already):
Hulu - Younger (sitcom), Undercover Boss (reality), Last Man on Earth (silly sitcom), Astronaut Wives (drama mostly based on history).
Netflix - The Bletchley Circle (British drama about smart women - just started this one), Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Borgias (historical drama - like the Tudors if you like that), The Paradise (British turn of century drama), Better Off Ted (silly sitcom)

Wow, that's scary! I hope they figure it out, and you feel better soon!
As far as recs... I didn't read all the pages, but here are some of my favorites:
Grey's Buffy
Game of Thrones Downton Abbey Orange Is the New Black The Tudors Mr. Selfridge Reign Revenge Nashville Mad Men Breaking Bad Farscape ... I know I'm forgetting stuff
If you want to watch stuff that will take up a bunch of time, watch reality series like Big Brother, Amazing Race, Survivor, So You Think You Can Dance, etc. LOTS of seasons!

Oh no! I hope that you feel better soon. Get some rest, plenty of fluids, and watch all of the Netflix. We are all thinking of you and sending you tons of get well vibes!
Yikes! Feel better!! After 6 pages I'm sure these have all been mentioned but my recommendations Netflix/Amazon picks are:
House of Cards Mad Men Call the Midwife Downton Abbey OITNB House The Office HIMYM Breaking Bad Chef's Table Arrested Development An Idiot Abroad Brain Games Antartica: A Year on Ice Anything National Geographic
If you're a nature lover:
Planet Earth: The Complete Collection Life Nature's Great Events The Universe: Collection
Dang Naria - that sucks! I'm thinking of you for sure. I highly recommend Gilmore Girls... Possibly Blue Bloods if you're into that. Or NCIS. You could do Royal Pains as well - I love that show.
I hope you get lots of rest and feel better soon! Hulu recs: I've been binge watching Master Chef, Empire, The Last Man on Earth and Wayward Pines as well as keeping up with Big Brother and Zoo on c.b.s dot com.

Feel better! My current binge watching recommendations (and they may have been recommended already, I didn't read all 7 pages) are Skinwars and Wandering Pines.
I don't even know what to say. This must be hard for you. I really hope things get better soon.
Looks like you've already gotten some good TV recommendations, but I'd like to suggest something different. See if you can get your hands on all 3 extended editions of The Lord Of The Rings. With the behind the scenes footage and extended scenes, you're looking at at least 50 hours of entertainment. You will thank me.
