Where do people get the idea that service dogs don't play? When they're off duty they play or relax. He was out of his harness and playing. That doesn't mean he isn't a service dog.
And not being with the dog 24/7 doesn't mean he isn't legit either. Some people have better or worse vision depending on the light. Or they may not use the dog in a space they know well, like their apartment building. Do some jerks have fake service dogs? Yes. But from what you say here there is no evidence he isn't legit. She may be a bad handler, but you can't assume she's lying.
I'd just see if she can keep the dog off the equipment. Allergies or no, you can't ban a service dog from the room.
yelah250, I'm assuming that they would have had to provide paperwork of some kind that states it is a service animal. I don't know what all the rules are, but I would guess it involves special training and certification to make the service dog classification
It's against the law for them to ask for his training documentation usually. Certification is ok.
Yes laws are different everywhere just stating the norm I've encountered.
I know Larry happened. Please do not try to convince me otherwise. Please don't talk to me about coffee. I don't drink it. I don't caffeine. When I state my opinion, that is me chiming in on a topic. This is not me saying you suck at life if you do or feel differently. If I want to say that, I will. If I want to speak on you, I will.

I dont think anyone thinks service dogs don't play. But for him to be in an area where dogs normally aren't allowed, he should be working. Otherwise he is just a pet at that time, and thus shouldn't be on the equipment.

Really? That's interesting. Do you have to prove a dog was trained to get them certified? I don't doubt that this dog in particular is a service animal, I'm just curious now if you aren't really allowed to ask for proof what's to stop anyone from claiming any pet is a service animal.
Oh, that is fantastic. This, this is wine. Look at what these idiots are drinking. Look at these dicks! I mean obviously, it's not really delicious, like hot chocolate or Coke, but for wine...brilliant.

Fine, off duty service dog. So she's just an inconsiderate neighbor who lets her off-duty service dog run wild all over a children's indoor play room.

It depends how she certifies the dog.
However it doesnt matter cause they can't ask you to prove the training. Or to say mske your dog do this.
