I've only ever had brussel sprouts twice, and I roasted them with turkey bacon, honey, and Sriracha. Is this the ultimate way, or are there other equally delicious recipes out there?
I like them roasted in a little olive oil with just some sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. Your way sounds delicious.

I like them pan-fried with a little soy sauce and sesame seeds too.
Mmmmm, I like that idea. That'll give them a nice crunch. Thanks!

We're going skating today. I can't wait to see DD in her little kiddie skates. I hope she enjoys it. We're going to get pizza there. There will be other kids coming.

We do it with turkey bacon and diced apple, sometimes with a splash of balsamic.
Also have roasted them in the oven after giving them a salt bath, soaking in salt water for 30min I think. Super delicious.
Good morning! We have no plans today beyond regular Sunday crap. I got to sleep in and I finally feel like I'm caught up from all the missed sleep from the last week so that's awesome.

I want to try your way!!
I love balsamic, and I have some. I think I'll try this first. Thanks !
My favorite thing about living in Colorado was that you could drink in restaurants in the morning. We used to go to champagne breakfasts and it was amazing.
My DH is from Denver and I love visiting Colorado! We go back once a year and it's awesome. I dunno why he left for SC but I'll take it! Where did you live?

Baby's first night in the crib was a relative success - only a few wake-ups cause he kept rolling on to his stomach. That kid hates to be on his stomach.
As for brussel sprouts, I like to cook half a pound of bacon, then sauté the sprouts in the bacon great until browned. Deglaze with balsamic. Add back the bacon and some dates.
Morning! We're all up and homemade waffles have been demolished. Hoping to just hang out this morning then we're heading to my parents for dinner tonight.

Wait, where are the places you can't drink in the mornings? How do they brunch?

I didn't realize there were still place that didn't sell alcohol on Sunday. I need a list of those places so I can know to never live there! DD is so incredibly constipated right now. She has been crying hysterically every 5-10 minutes while trying to poop since she woke up this morning. I gave her miralax yesterday at the advice of her pedi but I think all that did was cause her to be in pain. Pedi doesn't have after-hours number so I'm trying to figure out what else we can do to help her. She is so miserable! This is going to be a fun Sunday......

If you must. But do not parboil. The reason so many people hate Them is because when you over cook them It releases this shit that tastes bitter.
Church, and then I have to work on my essays that are due this week even though I'd rather do nothing. Or knit. I haven't started either of them and they're both looong.
At another wrestling tournament. Dd is at the top of the bleachers by herself yelling she's on top of the world. Weigh ins are almost done and then the waiting begins. My least favorite part, for sure.
A little grocery shopping later and then pizza for dinner because I've been craving it like whoa.

Let me tell you, not many things suck more than when you spent the weekend drinking with your friends and you are too old for that. All you want it a mimosa on Sunday to take the edge off and the waitress informs you that they don't serve them before noon.
