Sup notches. Despite the horror of kellrr and the cake from Friday, I still go here.
Today was a super good day despite dd being up at 5:00 for the day. Thankfully she slept 7:30-5:00 without waking so I was okay with it. We spent the morning with at the zoo with friends. Dd was in a super cute mood, babbling and laughing all day.
I've been making good eating decisions today, despite wanting all the hotdogs and hamburgers while at the zoo. Notch bet is on - it's so cute some of you think you have a chance against me. I'm totally going to win all of your money. So, just saying.
We had a great weekend! DH's party was so fun, he was totally surprised and loved it. Then on Sunday we had a big birthday breakfast with our friends before leaving DD with MIL for the day. We went for a 5 mile hike that we would never have been able to take with a baby so that was awesome. We had a nice dinner date too. All and all a wonderful weekend! It went by too fast!
Sounds awesome! Glad you got some alone time with your H!
Re walking. I think we're close too. Dd cruises all over the furniture and walls. She'll walk with her walker toy too. She's occasionally let go of things and stood on her own for a few seconds and will walk around the house only holding one hand for support. I'm excited and equally not ready for her to do it.
I forgot I need to ask for T&Ps for my brother who is taking the bar exam tomorrow and Wednesday. Yes, that will make 2 lawyers in our family, no I don't know how that happened. My dad is an artist and my mom is a nurse. He's super nervous (of course) and he needs some positive energy. TIA!
I'm here.. I lurked and loved tited earlier but was busy at work..damn work making me do stuff. I got my first paycheck of just being per diem at my old job and it was a lot nicer than I thought. More money for less work..yes! Now I really regret starting the other job. I could easily just do the other job. But now I've committed to the new job and their pay is less. I hate seconding guessing myself!
Re bath: I still use baby tub bc it's easier. On vacation using the real tub she kept wanting to crawl.
Re walking: she now crawls over, grabs fingers, stands, and demands a walk.
Is anyone experiencing full on tantrums from their LOs when they don't get their way? Emma throws herself on the ground, screams, then looks up to make sure we're watching.
sweetsurprise - sorry that sleep is still an issue and that you and H can't get on the same page. I will say for us sitting in the room has helped a lot. She'll still fuss, and I'll let her for 5 min before comforting her. Since starting this things are going better. It's been slow and we had our setbacks with her being sick last week, but it's certainly better than it was a month ago. I'm hoping to gradually get out of the room, but for now it's working. I hope you guys can find something that works and you are both comfortable with.
meagpt22 we are also experiencing the tantrums. She also knows when she isn't supposed to do something. She waits for you to look the other way and than crawls towards something as fast as possible. As she is crawling there, she will pause and look at you. If she sees you looking she stops and smiles and acts like she wasn't doing anything. If she thinks you aren't looking she keeps going.

Oh yes. We. Do. Have tantrums. It's ridiculous. I just roll with it. He's too little to spoil (right?) by giving in and it's not like he's crying for candy. He wants to do what he wants to do. The worst is when I need to pee or pull hot food out and I can't set him down for even a second without hysteria. I usually give it 10-15 seconds to see if it passes. Also, yay $$$, boo working less but still more. Give it a couple months and see if it still makes sense to do both. If not, say "o want more time with my babe. See ya!" Best excuse ever. Also, you're still per diem there, too, right? They will understand.

HEY! I'm here. I'm kind of always here, but lurking. Things are busy busy busy. And i usually catch threads once they are dead.
We are starting intervals tonight. Harrison is an escalator so we are only going to do 2, 4 and 6 minutes. After DH put him down, we only had to go in once. I think it's a fluke, but it was still great. I will report back!
Re: baths. Yes. He crawls in the tub and thinks it's hilarious when he stands and I tell him "no". He didn't think it was hilarious when he slipped and fell face-first out of the tub. But, yeah, he still stands and causes a general ruckus.
Re:walking. He is standing and cruising on the little furniture we have in our 2br apartment. He has stood on his own a couple times. He will be walking by 10 months for sure, apparently I walked at 11.

MrsTinMKE Yes it is!!! I just can't believe it. Like, they're all about to be full on people. Walking and talking. I cannot IMAGINE how different life is going to be in just a few weeks. And after this, it's like all downhill developmentally almost. Like, way less milestones and all

I was lol-ing about the "full on people." They are become little people! Last night DS wore these 2-piece pajamas for the first time and he looked so grown up! I almost cried.

DH calls K a little person all the time. He is constantly saying "it's like she is a little person".

Oh my gosh! Isnt that crazy! I felt the same way!! Its only a 2 piece pajama but some how it was this big step!
It was a big weekend for dd. She finally figured out forwards crawling, she claps, and she waves bye bye. She also has been pulling up. I feel like for an early October baby she is so far behind.
I want two piece jammies for dd but can't find them in her size. Where are you lads finding them?
It might be easier to find them for boys, but we've gotten several sets at Walmart (Garaminals, not the brand ones like Disney and Ninja Turtles). They are about $7 a set? I don't look in the girl's section, but I would like to think they have them.

I don't think she is far behind. They are all going to learn things at their own pace.

We got ours from carter's. K is in 9 month but I got her 12 month ones. I figured it doesn't matter if they are a little big. Target has some 9 month but they are shorts. I'm assuming if they come in 9 month there they would have smaller if you needed smaller than that.
