Off topic, but I just took a phone call from someone at church about an event this weekend, and I have no idea who she was. Our church has less than 200 people, but I don't know everyone's names. However, everyone knows who we are because I'm the only Asian (MH is white), and we have the baby. Awkward but at least it was on the phone and not in person?

I know.  That's one of my quirks... things that should be encouraging often make me feel bad about myself.  I think it's because of my low self esteem. 

Jane - I'm pretty sure I would cry if I tried to take them to church by myself.  E is getting bigger and is doing a lot better in most places.  But she is just not capable of being still or quiet.  She honestly just cannot do it.  I don't know what I'm supposed to do about that.  (Our church doesn't offer a nursery.  Maybe in the new place.)

Its OK, if I had to take them by myself all the time, I might break down and cry at some point too.it would probably be a lot of herding V,and wearing G.that's pretty much what happened this morning at sTorytime. It just really takes a lot of planning, and even then, it doesn't always work out. That's OK, at least we went, we're all still alive in one piece l and maybe next week will be Better. 

Also, I pretty much love it when we sit next to another small child, or adult who is always trying to wave or talk to V.it keeps him in the pews and happy. Maybe not always terribly quiet, but he's not throwing a tantrum. 

Plus, maybe you think your kid is doing terribly, but others might actually think they are doing pretty well. We went to a family wedding, and there was an announcement made before the ceremony requesting if your kid starts crying,please take them elsewhere. I didn'tthink V did great, buthe didn'tcry. And someone actually commented how good he was. 

Andplusalso, its goodpractice,  right?
