I'm choosing to be positive today that it will be terrific.
I'm working on transitioning DD back to school hours. She'll be having to get up by 6:30 the latest and has been getting up between 8 & 9:30. We're both tired today.
FDA showed up for a surprise inspection at MILs work. (She works in a pharmaceutical lab) this means no days off for her and means she won't be taking DD one day so I can go finish my classroom. I will now be in during the evenings ( I suppose really afternoons since DH is done at 3 PM from teaching).

MsNicole06- hope you get some rest soon, last night was a rough night for my LO too. Also love the positive attitude :-). It always makes my days better.
Apparently I had a sick kitty last night. I had 3 different messes to clean up this morning - one was on my shoe! Damn cat.
Otherwise, today has been pretty decent. I slept well, LO was in a good mood (usually is) and so am I. Let's hope that this continues to be a terrific Tuesday.
Still trying to catch up on sleep from this weekend. Luckily no crazy thunderstorms last night to keep us up. Liam slept well, only two wake ups and up around 6:45 I heard him grab the toys off the changing table (attached to his crib) and play. He wound up playing for close to an hour before calling to get out! It was awesome. Usually it only buys us about 10 min lol.
He's napping now. Have to go to the gym and check out the babysitting before I decide if I want to do my training session today. I've never put him in the gym babysitting before.
I also have to vacuum and go grocery shopping. Other than that, hopefully the day stays positive.
I love the choosing to be positive! Good news: MH promised to be happy today too! I did not sleep well, so I thought I might as well get up and jumpstart the day. How in the world I can mess around and fill three hours to still manage to be late to work is beyond me. It's a skill, I suppose. My super power is time warping. Hi-yah!

Positive day! + My summer school grades are due today, which means I get a break after today. + I have a doctor appointment today to get blood work for the maternity21 test. I'll also get my iron levels checked again. The chromosome test makes me nervous. Eeeee. But I have a positive outlook! + I ordered a king size mattress last night, so if LO needs middle of the night company, I won't have to go to the guest room.
LO slept like a newborn last night, but I somehow feel ok anyway. DH and I are doing all our military paperwork stuff today (power of attorney, copies of birth certificates, etc.) so we'll be ready for him to leave. I also need to go to the store and do more packing. I'm feeling productive though, and excited to be knocking all this stuff out!

I like all the positivity today! At about 2 am I reached over to touch LO and noticed he wasn't in bed with us. So I looked at the baby monitor and he was sleeping soundly in his crib. Yay to more time in his crib!!
Also, I know jjh1119 brought this up last week but am I the only one with a LO who has no teeth? This doesn't stop him from eating all of the foods though. Seriously, he eats everything like its no big deal, but has zero signs of teeth coming in. Also his crawling is getting super fast and he's starting to walk along the couches, etc. and yesterday he let go of the couch and tried to walk to his pack in play. He's a very determined child. Just when we thought we have baby proofed something, he finds something else we need to baby proof. We've decided there is no time to make a baby gate and DH is installing one today.
I've had an insanely productive WFH morning. Got two big projects off my list, started the baby laundry, ordered and put away groceries. After LO and her sitter head out to the park I'm going to start cooking up veg for LO's lunches this week. YAHOO.
Yup still toothless here despite all the pain he was in this past weekend. He is determined to walk as well. We learned over the weekend that the pack and play is basically a trampoline for him lol. He will hold on on top and jump it's pretty funny
Oh and when I was a daycare teacher, there was an 18 month old there with no teeth and his doctor/parents weren't worried. He still ate the same food all the other kids ate. So that makes me not worry when my friends' 3 month olds have teeth already and we don't. Haha
Haha, it seems like my LO is behind compared to your kiddos... no teeth, no crawling, not too interested in eating solids. She's ahead in other ways, though- hair growth, (lol) she's great at playing with toys/entertaining herself, and she says ma, dada, and lots of baby talk. So I think it balances out!
A friend of mine's LO skipped crawling and went straight to walking. Crawling is really weird if you think about it too long. I'm not stoned, but having some pretty stoner thoughts about crawling. Like, seriously, THINK about crawling. Why do babies DO it?
zengal I also have a no crawler. Last night I set a bottle down about 5 feet in front of LO. The first step or 2 was actual crawling - the first I've seen. Then he did his army crawl/scoot movement he sometimes does. Then he just flopped there and stretched as much as he could.
He gets on his knees and grabs the edge of the couch- like he is trying to pull himself up but he is nowhere close to that milestone. However, he was putting a lot of weight on his legs and keeping them rather straight when I held him in a standing position. It was the first time I've seen him in an assisted stand.

Happy Tuesday!
Good luck with the Maternity21 test and a healthy baby. Does it also tell you sex? Do you plan to find out or are you team green?
DH and I upgraded to a king size a couple years ago. I still am not used to how big it is. I have to scoot so far over to cuddle with him. He did like that he usually never was bothered when I was getting up multiple times a night to pee during 3rd tri. And for TMI, it is so big that we can meet in the middle, DTD, then roll over to our respective sides and no one has to sleep in the wet spot.

Me and DH picked names for a boy and a girl. We were like why not. Oliver (Ollie) for a boy and Evelyn (Evie)for a girl. We are also going to be positive. Isaac stayed up late but not fussy, he was just extra snuggly. I enjoyed it although I was tired. Also, I have been on a sesame bagel kick. So good!
Two teeth over here but not crawling yet either zengal! She pushes up on her hands but seems to be ok with rolling around to grab the toys I put in front of her!
ninergirl52 I woke up this morning thinking I fell asleep holding LO, which it not unusual. Except I must have transferred her to the PNP at some point and crawled into bed. MH told me he tried waking me up for my pump, but I have no recollection.
MsNicole06, fx for a smooth transition for both of you!
nerdalert, I try not to worry too much about exact timing of milestones, but I know it can be hard. My boss's grandson is just a few weeks older than DD and he's been crawling around and standing for quite a while. DD is just now starting to do a sort of crawl/squirm. But if the doctor isn't worried, then I don't think that we have any reason to be either. They all develop at their own rate.
DD has decided that just about the only sounds she wants to make this week are a really high pitched screech and happy growl. It's hilarious, but I'm looking forward to the return of consonants. They seem to be on hiatus while she discovers these new sounds.
songbirdsinging55 I LOVE both of those names! They also both sound great with Isaac. Picking out names is so fun, I am already thinking about what to name our next one even though it will be a while.
sjp03 That is so funny about the king size bed. That's definitely a bonus, haha!
We have a queen and I actually really like it. When we stay in hotels, we get a king size and it feels like we're not even sleeping in the same bed!
