Thanks ladies! I was standing in my closet feeling pretty overwhelmed with packing for that long for what I'm sure will be a super weird body. I think I'll take some variety so I'm hopefully comfy. It's not a fashion show but I'd like to steer clear of looking homeless too. Dadgum childbearing is tricky!
How are all the c section mamas doing ? I am 16 days postpartum, I am feeling great otherwise but my incision is still sore especially on the sides. I definitely have NOT been taking it super easy, I mean I'm not doing housework or Taking long walks or even short ones but I'm not lying in bed all day every day. Tomorrow my DH is back to work; I have a fridge full of food, I think LO and I will just hang out in bed all day.
Also, I have lost 37/39 lbs gained during my pregnancy!! But my hips are still big and so are my fingers, still will be awhile till I fit into prepreg pants. For now matt leggings are great and comfy cause of the high waist.

I'm 7 days post partum and honestly I don't feel as bad as I thought I would. I'm still taking Motrin every so often but I'm not hopped up on drugs like the nurses said I would be. I haven't dared to step on a scale yet so I have no idea what my weight is doing, all I know is I have a big floppy dunlop beer belly. I think my incision is healing right, but there is a large hard lump under the skin on the left side of it. Its tender, but not screechy painful. So for the most part in doing pretty good.
I'm 5 days PP, and feel like I am pretty much back to normal. I can pick things up off the floor, get into/put of every chair in our house, and the only clothes that hurt are my tight/suck it in panties that hit my incision. I haven't taken anything except my Motrin since being released. I am worried about the level of bleeding though. I haven't filled a heavy pad in 6 hrs. I could get away with liners.
I am finally allowing H to help with feedings, as we just used our first bottle, I can't emotionally take L not latching even with the shield and having pumped a bit so everything is easily flowing. L hasn't had a wet diaper in2 days and only 4 dirty ones in those days. I know he is getting plenty of milk, since he gets spoon fed at least 1/2 an oz each feeding before getting the boob. But there is nothing coming out. I am scared to be left alone tomorrow as I will have to cook for myself but if L will cooperate I think I am up for it.
Is anyone else having pain on their sides, almost near their hips, when walking? We went to Costco today and the incision area felt fine but about 1-2" on each side was really painful. I'm about 2 weeks out now.
Also if you had staples and then they put steri strips on, are we supposed to remove the steri strips at any point?

Yes me 100%. It's the sides that r sore ESP when walking or standing too long. I have steri strips, nurse said would just come off in a week but They r still on and I haven't bothered to remove them.
Happy you ladies r feeling great post c section !!! I am hoping I feel great soon too !!
So that lump I mentioned in my previous post? It got bigger and it hurts. A lot. Calling the doctor today.
Unfortunately that sounds like an infection, I had one with my previous c-section. Are you having any chills?
no, I feel fine besides still being sore. It just hurts a lot. the skin isn't red, the incision isn't bleeding or oozing or anything. I got so busy with the baby today that I didn't get a chance to call the doctor but its first thing on my list tomorrow.

I hope you can get it looked at and that it is easily remedied!

I had this with my first and my doctor reminded me that the incision i see isn't my only incision and there is going to be pain all around my abdomen as it heals or overdo it.
gingerygirl I haven't read the randoms lost yet but I hope everything is OK!
Did anyone get horrible blisters from the tape? When the tape got pulled off I got a really bad reaction. I actually haven't thought too much about the incision because I have been babying my blisters ( more like boils) above my incisions.

Did anyone else not get staples or this tape that zonagirl speaks of? I got this weird glue that comes off naturally. There is still some there 4 weeks later

I was just coming on here to see about the steri strips. My ob wants them to fall off on their own but they have started coming up somewhat and are sticking to everything. It's not pleasant. But I can't see so I'm terrified to take them off and I don't want Dh doing it because I'm a baby when it comes to adhesives. They've been on over a week now.

Both of my previous c sections I had glue. It's magical. Staples are the devil. So was that prevena pump thing they put on my incision. So many things I did not want.

I got the glue. I was told it was only used for first timers at my hospital.

I got the glue as well, I'm 2 weeks PP and I'm a little sore and tender around the incision but otherwise I feel great, doc said the glue should slowly peel off by itself. I guess the kind of stitches u get depends on the preference of the doctor.
Did no one else get tape?! Now I'm wondering why I got this horrible tape that deformed my skin and not the glue that the rest of you seemed to get...hmmm...

I'm tender about an inch above my incision. Like a numb feeling.

runningmommy519 yeah, and I get this sharp kind of itchy pain in the sides, on the ends of my incision too, but I take it as a good sign that it's healing, and I sit on my hands to not scratch lol
Those of you that are taking/took Percoset. Did any of you notice that your baby is extra sleepy? I know it is safe for breastfeeding but it seems like my LO sleeps soooo much. I started wondering of it was the drugs I'm taking. I'm going my first day today with no percoset just ibuprofen.
