The fair is still going on... I must have a funnel cake... I keep thinking about funnel cakes...
OHH Funnel cake! I will have a hard time @ the State fair. that is always a big thing for H and I. I will have to keep myself under control! They have all of the fried yummy foods!
I hate to say it, but that might be a good cheat day. The state fair was my favorite-est when we lived in Minn. because the food is ridiculous. I wanted to go last summer when we were there for a wedding and DH said "you are 8 months pregnant and you want to walk miles around the state fair with 100,000 people in 100% humidity and it's 90 degrees?" We didn't go. Colorado's state fair is lame.

Yeah I think so. I am going to plan for some cheat days. I don't want to deprive myself. Everything in moderation! We went super early last year when they first opened to beat the heat. It is a must, even if I don't feel like it. It was a first date for H and I, he even proposed outside of the fair. We just went super early and planned out the foods we wanted to eat and then left!
We toured a daycare this morning. DH specifically wanted to go but then was grouchy that it was making him late for work. Oh well. He did say he was glad he went though. In any case we liked it there, everyone seemed really nice and DD wanted to play with all of the toys and other kids there in the worst way so I think she'll enjoy it. We still have one more to check out but I'm kind of hoping we stick with this first place. They have room for her if we wanted to start her immediately so I may be able to start working more sooner than planned, which would really help with our saving/debt paying goals. All and all I'm feeling pretty good about it.
Glad your visit went well!! Gives me hope haha I need to set up some tours, I think that will make the decision easier and less scary
You definitely should. I honestly feel a lot better about it after going!

I'm so happy you found something you liked and felt comfortable with! It's such a relief to find something you're comfortable with. When do you your the other center?
Next week. They're supposed to call me on Monday to set something up and go over costs and such. I really liked the one we saw today though, I almost want to skip the other one but I know I really shouldn't. I have some time to decide yet anyway.
Good morning! I'm not as sore as I thought I would be, but I had the deepest hard sleep in a long time! Until DH woke me up to take care of DS. Thanks for all the encouragement for my race! It felt great to do that after being out of shape for so long. Also, the race was at a reservoir near the mountains, so after the race, DH, DS, my mom, and I hung out for about an hour eating pizza and drinking a beer and watching the sunset. There was a breeze coming off the water. I didn't want to leave! Today we are doing story time and then SIL and my brother are taking DS to the pool while I work. I don't really have much work and I kind of want to ditch and go with them. I still might.
That's awesome, sounds like a great day and congrats to you for doing the race! I'm so not a runner so I'm extra impressed! Then again, I might be more inclined to try if I knew that there was pizza, beer and a sunset over the water waiting for me at the end
We had to wake DD up early for our tour so she took an epic nap shortly after we got home. I've been on a cleaning bing lately so I used the free time to scrub the bathroom floor. I don't know what has come over me this week. I think the idea of working more has me in a bit of a panic over getting everything in order at home. We were in such a rut and wanting to move so badly that we just stopped trying around here for awhile. Now it feels like home again.
The next thing I'm tackling is reorganizing the closets. Must stay motivated. Must not stop.

OMG I haven't been to our state fair in years. I wanted to go last year as well but knew pregnant me + heat + 433,674 people would not go well. But the food! NOM NOM NOM!

I actually did get a little fire under my butt earlier this week to clean, and then we found out we got the house. Now I'm like, "eh, we're moving in a month." But our bathroom and the kitchen need a deep clean, like, yesterday. Maybe this weekend...

MMMMM fair foods. I should see if there's a fall state fair here.
We are trying to beat the heat today. I went to a nearby mall that had a kids play area -- turned out it was more for walkers. Nothing he could even crawl on, so, we left. Also, I actually have an FFFC for tomorrow!!! It's not that exciting but it happened today so remind me. I'm working on friday mornings (like literally 3 hours), but DH has a paper due on Saturday so I took the day off to stay with DS. I'm considering part time daycare when we move back home so I can work more. But like, then I'd have to work. Ugh.
It's calls Randoms for a reason Also, I hear you on having to work more. If I hadn't spent more on my education than my mortgage will be, I'd probably just stay home. Maybe not actually, but I ponder that sometimes.

I have a confession for tomorrow too. Kinda lame, but it's something.
geetargirl05 I have a really random question for you. I'm going to be back in Tacoma around K's first birthday and am thinking about having her party there with family. I was thinking it might be easier to hold it somewhere since we don't have a house but all I can think of is chuck E cheese which I don't want to do. I'm not sure how long you have been gone but can you think of anywhere that would be a good place? There has to be somewhere that is kid friendly but less crazy than chuck E cheese.

Oooohh... I know the point defiance zoo actually does rental space, it includes tickets for like 12 people or something but usually kids under 2 or so are free anyway. I looked into it for my husband's birthday last year LOL. I've also seen some like kids gym type places in the Puyallup area that probably do parties. I've been poking around and thinking of doing a party when we move back. Not sure if I am going to follow through, might just do a BBQ at home or something.

I didn't know about the gyms renting out space. I will have to look into that. Zoo is a good option if the weather holds.

The Y does bday parties and I think there's some other like actual kids gyms too. I was looking at them on yelp like last week funny enough!!
