I need to stop having appointments the day after I work. I got L asleep at 1 and 1:05 she was up again and asleep by about 1:20 in our bed (five min alone in the crib is not a win) and we had to get up at 6-- thankfully she "only" woke up three times between 1:20&6am... I'm beat.
mskatiep I hope you have a safe trip over here, can't wait to meet you and beautiful Layla!!
Two of my friends who were going to watch L today for me (primary and back up) have SICK kiddos!! Hope all the N13 sickies are well Soon! Too many sick kids
I need opinions on something trivial so I don't think it needs its own thread-- Almost all of my pants are too big on me. As in, they look ridiculous and I need to stop wearing them. Should I A) See if they fit my sister and give them to her, B) Buy all new pants and hang on to old pants so I have an "in between" wardrobe for next time I am post partum (could be years), or C) Have old pants tailored to fit me now?
They are mostly from LOFT or Banana, with a couple of pairs of nice jeans with the same prob. Half of it is me just losing the rest of my baby weight, half of it is me overestimating my size when ordering online.
I would keep a couple pairs for the next pp period and give the rest to your sister. Cause duh, shopping!
ggandlee I agree, I find the coordinated party outfits kind of annoying (I had to do it for a couple bachelorette parties, but never for a shower or other event. That seems odd).
Here are a few from Nordstrom...they had a decent selection of blue.
The first one in black is the exact dress that I have for the engagement party! Haha! I love the second one! I may order several and return what doesn't work out.

I have found that tailoring pants is at least $30/pair and realistically, they can take them in about 1 size before things start looking wonky. I was in the same spot this fall/winter...I had a few favorites altered that were more expensive and/or that I really liked, but a few others I just wrote off as losses and replaced. It breaks my heart to get rid of clothes I spent good money on, but styles have changed so much in the past few years that by the time I have baby #2, lord only knows what will be "in" and stuff will be even more dated by then.

Yeah, I wondered about the cost of tailoring too. I like the pants, but if I catch a good sale at LOFT, I can replace with sizes that DO FIT for $40 or $50 per pair. I'm seeing if my sister has any pants in my size she might want to swap me.

This is my problem. I have a ton of clothes for work, but I don't think I'm going back to work anytime in the near future. I don't know if I should keep them and hope that most of the things are classic enough to be wearable in a few years – wrap dresses, straight leg trousers and a button-down shirts and cardigans, or I should pack them up and donate them to a worthy cause. I hate staring at my closet and seeing all of these great clothes that really have no use in my life right now.

Not going to lie - I kind of like the new format! I can have it open at work and not look like I'm pregnant and I find the settings a lot easier to manage. I really hated navigating TB from my desktop so almost exclusively used the app.
kfran84 - I'd keep some that you really like/may wear again. Granted I do have a bag of J.Crew pants that fit during college from when I worked there, and I kept saving them thinking I'd gain my college weight back and now I think they are hiding in a closet at my mom's house and totally out of style, so maybe be selective;)
ggandlee check anthro? I haven't been in a long time, but they always have great luncheon type dresses in a variety of colors and styles.
We are in the process of dropping the morning (pre-naptime) bottle. B is not pleased. Just put him down and he's bellowing, alternating b/n "mama" and "baba". I feel like the meanest mom in the world.

Everyone keeps telling me to drop the bed time bottle. It's the only one she gets now. I'm terrified to do it.
That is the only one we have right now as well. Not getting rid of it. No way. Our dc teacher also started talking about getting rid of the paci. You crazy lady? Cadence had a meltdown as soon as I got her in the car last night because I didn't have one for her. No way am I listening to that all day and night.

tgrimes1980 Maybe you should tell the office manager that you would like to see how this ballet goes first before committing to help him with his. That will at least give you a little more time to think about whether or not to do it. It sucks that he is just now telling you that your music is too short, especially since you start this weekend.
klongoria11 OMG, Your dd's pic in your avatar. I cannot handle the cuteness. Is she betrothed yet? Can I propose on my son's behalf? Is that weird??? I just want what's best for him!!
My friend that's in the hospital had a bone marrow & lymph node biopsy. He's not sure when the results will come back but for now, they still don't know what's wrong with him. With that being said, I told his office manager that I'd continue teaching on Saturday but wouldn't be able to run the rehearsals all day, once I've finished choreographing my ballet. He sent me a text last night asking if I'd help him set a ballet he did 8 years ago. #1 His kids aren't strong enough to do it and #2 His choreography is crazy. It would take an enormous amount of my time to learn everything.
I'm in a tough spot. I obviously want to help him out but the weekend is when I spend time with Mara. I told him about the music I was planning on using and he said it was too short. So I either have to choreograph two ballets or find longer music. I'm supposed to start this weekend. Awesome.

I know. I can't even think that far ahead. I mean, I think about it, and I just want to get back in bed and rock in the fetal position. For a kid that was mostly breast-fed for the first 11 months of his life, he is attached to his bottles.
