What are your favorite tops that are breastfeeding friendly? Sitting around the house I can make just about anything work, but eventually I imagine I'll leave the house on a regular basis and still want to look fashionable yet not overly complicate feeding time.

I wear any shirt because I usually lift it up, but under I wear a tank without a shelf bra that I can pull down and a nursing bra that I can unclip. That keeps you pretty covered. I use a nursing cover as well though.
ON has a top that is intriguing to me, but I haven't bought it. I don't like pulling tops down because the neckline ends up too low for me. Things that unbutton or unsnap are a pain for me to put it back while holding a baby.
I do have an undercover mama tank that I like but I feel like it isn't necessary. Tunic length tops are more challenging to pull up because they are so long. Dresses can be really tricky because you have to pull them down. I'm not a dress wearer, but a wrap dress or scoop neck would probably be the way to go I think.
I've also been doing tank tops under cardigans or zip up sweatshirts. When I nurse in public, I put a cover on and lift my tank top. Because of the cardigan, you can't see my back like when I lift normal shirts to nurse.
In the early days with ds 1 I could get away with a y back tank over a tank with a shelf bra, I'd just pull it down with a nursing cover. Once ds liked to pull up the nursing cover I started matching my knit top to a tank with shelf bra, I wore lots of black....but I'd pull up my shirt and the tank matched it so you couldn't see much.
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
Am I the only one that hates the way cami/shelf bras make my boobs look? So unflattering, ugh. But that seems to be what most people say they wear.
I guess I should have noted that I have tiny breasts and got about to a c cup at the largest while breast feeding so the shelf tanks work for me...I imagine its not so easy if you need real support.

I've been sporting flannel button downs most days of the week. I have a couple cute nursing tops that I got through amazon from some boutique type shops but I usually just get breast milk all over them so I don't wear them often.
I use long tanks from old navy or forever 21 and wear a nursing bra underneath. The straps are long enough to pull down and I don't have the shelf of the nursing tanks.
BabyStandish I also have some nursing tops that I love. I asked for long sleeved ones for Xmas. Jessica Simpson has a lot of (dare I say) cute nursing tops.

I bought a ton from Motherhood Maternity when they were having a sale. They have some that are elastic at the neck so you just pull it down under your boob and looks like a regular V-neck shirt when you wear it. I also have a few long sleeves that unsnap at the top and have a faux tank-top under it (just extra material so you don't have to button it back up immediately after nursing). Also from MM.
I really hate nursing tanks. I've never liked anything to touch my stomach like that. I stick to nursing bras and shirts that lift plus a cover or gauze blanket.

I was going to ask for some suggestions on tanks with out the bra, so thanks!

+1 for anything nursing related from Target! I live in the tanks with buttons downs or cardigans over top, or I have a stretchy neck sports bra from Target that is made for nursing. It is comfy and offers better shape/more support. I wear it with some MM nursing shirts with the elastic top.
