I went for an ultrasound today due to spotting that I had that finally eased up a couple of days ago. I should be 5w6d (or 5w5d) based on O, but they only saw the gestational sac and the yolk sac - no baby. I know it's still early, but I'm bummed. They are checking my betas and progesterone again and I go back on Monday for a repeat u/s. Until then, I will be a nervous wreck!
Update: There's a baby with a heartbeat in there! I'm measuring 6w1d with a heartbeat of 128. I think I'm about 6w4d, but I'm not worried. 3u3.5 is happening! That's where my worry is going to go!
Thank you for the support and encouragement. I am hoping for good news from xxkimmy8xx tomorrow and lilmonk next week!

FX and thinking of you! Totally anecdotal, but I ovulated super late when I got KU with DS, so I had a similar experience with my first ultrasound. It was scary but everything looked great a couple weeks later.

All the hugs in the meantime.
Thanks. I was tracking my ovulation by temping, so I know within a day or two when I ovulated. Plus, I got a BFP at 10 dpo. I'm trying to be positive but realistic.

I'm in a similar spot minae01. Had a u/s at what I thought was 5+4 and they didn't see a fetal pole yet either. I've been doing a ton of reading (what else is there to do with 10 days between u/s's?) and I really think its just too early for us. I'm looking forward to hearing your good news on Monday, and I'll follow it up with my good news on Tuesday! ::Hugs::

Gosh, kimmy, I'm sorry you're dealing with it, too! It's terrible they're making you wait 10 days for a repeat! I'm a teacher and I start school next Thursday, so I insisted that I go in early so that I have time to process whatever I may find out.
I also remembered that I have (or did with my previous pregnancies) a tilted uterus. Sometimes they can't see everything well that early because of its position. They didn't mention it to me yesterday, but I'm still hoping that's the case with me and maybe you, too. I will be hoping for the absolute best news possible for us next week! Please keep me updated!

I know! the wait has been rough, but its really allowed me to process and try to be okay with the outcome either way. Yes! I have a tilted uterus too. I have heard that can delay ultrasound visualizations too. Fingers crossed for you next week!

I just had my ultrasound today and they think I'm earlier than the last technician stated. I was supposed to be 6+2 today, but there's only a yolk sac visible today, which is more than what the last one showed. I have to wait 2 weeks before going back in. I'm going to go insane.

It's really early. When I went in for my US at 5 weeks, all they wanted to see was the sac and the yolk. I don't go back in until 6 1/2 weeks along because that's when they really expect to see heartbeat/baby.
It is scary, but keep the earliness in mind. I have everything crossed for you.

Ugh! That's stinks. I'm so sorry that you're here with me in limbo. Do you know your O date exactly? Are you feeling any other symptoms? Maybe you have a tilted ute, too! 2 weeks is WAY too long to make you wait! Thinking positive thoughts for us all!
Brief update: my betas came back at 13,199 - excellent for 5w6d. Progesterone was still great at 35. I've also begun feeling some of the familiar pregnancy nausea that I had with both boys around 6 weeks. I have some hope that we'll see a little bean with a nice heartbeat! Thank you for your support and kind words, everyone!

I don't know my O date unfortunately. With my PCOS already messing things up, I was coming off of BCP due to some medicine changes, and I was only testing out 60 days from my LMP in May so I could start a new medication through my FS. I was on CD55 (I think) when I got a BFP. I'm going through some very low days right now. I want to go back in and get another blood draw, so maybe that'll help me with the negativity.
