We don't keep paper plates or plastic ware in the house. Or paper napkins (we use paper towel). I'd rather just run the dishwasher more than pay for paper and take out the trash more often.
+1. We only have those paper products if they're left over from a birthday party. My boys are skilled in using their cloth napkins.
Related - I just bought DS1 two different "bento" box thingies to pack his lunch in because the thought of wasting several plastic baggies a day made me ill.
ETA: I do but paper towels but try to use sparingly. A roll usually lasts a few weeks.
+1 on ziplock baggies too. I've had the same box on snack sized bags for over a year. That said, I'd really love a nice set of glassware. I've got some plastic stuff I don't mind but glass would be nice but $$$$
I have glasslock tupperware that I got a BBB with the coupon. I think it was $20ish a set, and it has held up great!
Also, I have a few reusable ziplock/snack bags from PlanetWise. @iheartmyshiba, You should look into making them!! I bet its pretty easy. Mine dont even zipper, they just fold over and velcro.

I just bought some bento boxes for dd to send to daycare too. I also have a lot of just little containers I put stuff in if she doesn't finish something because I don't want to keeps using baggies. I need to find a small container for a spoon for when we go out to eat because right now I am using a baggie.
I guess my UO would be that we have paper plates, napkins etc because if we have all of DH's family over its like 24 people and I don't have enough plates etc. I use a lot of ziploc baggies and plastic containers...I'll go to my corner now

Haha I will join you in the corner!
I will never not have paper towels in my house. I'm an eco-menace.

This. I know it's bad, but I love using paper towels.
Paper towels for everything. Especially cleaning, I get super skeeved out with reusable type cloths for cleaning (especially the bathroom). I would love to leave less of a footprint with my paper products but the struggle is real!
Apparently it is my unpopular opinion that you should be paying your minimal attorney's fees when they have kept you in your home mortgage free for five years and got you cash to move out.
Call me crunchy but bleach is the devil. I avoid at all costs and do not keep it in my house. Nope.
I have a bottle but never actually seem to use it. The vapors trigger my asthma.
My use of vinegar instead seems to be a slight UO here. between my asthma and skin issues I'd rather clean with that.
Add me to the paper towel club. I try to use reusable containers when I can, and I reuse freezer bags that only had dry things in it (bread, waffles, crackers, etc). I am also trying to use reusable bags more when shopping (major UO in this area, even DH gives me the side eye because he thinks it's impractical). That said, I don't lose sleep over failing to be as conscientious as possible. I just bought a pack of paper plates just because I can not keep up with the dishes, even when not sick, but now we're all achy and snotty, and I'm too tired to hand wash 3-4 sink full of dishes a day.
anotherdreamer, when they get gunky I soak the dogs' water bowls in white vinegar. It cleans them great! (However, the smell is so strong I let them soak in the garage.) For some reason, it's the only thing I can use to clean them really, really well.

It's great for defunking microwave too. I use a mix to mop the floors, and add a few drops of scented oil- it completely negates the smell. Not useful for cleaning items you (or animals) would eat off of, but great for cleaning surfaces or floors. I used to add lemon juice to it, but like the oil better.
Lola, are the lids glass too? I try to avoid using plastic when I can. We have glass Pyrex storage containers but the lids are plastic. I would definitely buy all new containers if they're all glass.
Also, we have reusable snack bags and I love them. I do buy paper napkins though.
I have a bunch of glass Pyrex but they all have plastic lids. I've never seen glass lids.

I've been thinking about buy reusable snack bags, currently I cut up fruit and put in a snack ziplock for daycare everyday and think its a waste that they throw it away.
I have compost barrel that DH made me a few years ago but I haven't composted anything this year (fail...possible friday confession)
I use paper towels and I love my all purpose cleaner, scrubbing bathroom bubbles, and Windex.
